I wanted to create a simple yet classy, a recognizable yet artsy logo. Using the sun's warm colors and manipulating the fonts used, an "S" emerged. S for sun, s for sunchase, s for serious, s for sophisticated... It's simplicity helps in scaling the logo without losing its power. Feedback would be appreciated, thank you.
In this variation, I used the elements that form the S as organic forms around the sun. I also added a little blue as a reference to the sea and the sky.
Both logos are really great - I particularly like the one used in Entry #32! It is very stylish/artsy/fun, and I think it integrates a younger/hipper feel that I really like. I particularly like the 'sunchase' font (although the 'Travel' font might be too casual - so possibly play with that some)
A general comment that applies to all participant's entries - I do have concern with the orange/yellow being used in the font. It looks great on the web, but on paper it tends to disappear. how would the font for #32 look in black or even black. Also, how would a horizontal version of this look - and a B&W.
I made all the requested changes plus changed the colors. The orange is now more vivid so that there won't be any problems even if it's printed from a home inkjet printer. Thank you for your comments, Natassa
