Really like the logo image of Entry #23 - a very unique / sophisticated version of the 'S' concept, and the font treatment is great as well. I'll be keeping this on my short list when I present it to my friends and family 'panel of experts'!
OD, So I held a mini-focus group today included clients and colleagues and many of them gravitated toward entry #81 (which I also like!). They all liked your graphic as well as the way you isolated 'sun' with the orange color depiction. It was suggested that I look at variations of this logo, including a more horizontal/banner orientation as any others you can think of (watermark and semi-sun approach, etc). There also was a lot of debate about fonts. A ton of the entries have a retro look, made more so with the 70s orange and yellow combined with the font choices. We all agreed we liked how you spaced out T R A V E L (better when it was not the full length of the word 'sunchase'). I don't know if a font change is even necessary, but if you have another option that you think might look classy, I'd like to see it. Although I've stated a personal preference for clean lines fonts, my focus group convinced me that it might be worth looking at other options that don't look too retro. Surprise! While the entry #81 (and similar) were recent favorites, after printing these on paper in color and greyscale, the feedback has grown favorably for #79. Clients seems to like a balance between sophistication and fun (which the blue and sun provide). Tomorrow night with my largest group will be interesting!
