Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Thank you all for sending images so quickly-I need a logo that can be modified for two different markets-weddings and events and a variation for fine art/travel. I like Liberty font for example for the wedding market-not tied to it-just need a little more frill for that market. My wedding market is almost exclusively young professionals.-the perfect logo would be a cross of traditional and hip (big order!).Location is what drives most of my destination weddings.
The travel market is primarily images of Charleston, SC-mostly historic and of course coastal images, garden images, families having fun, honeymooners etc.
To the CH - If you are looking for more entries please provide the designers with feedback before placing a 'not interested' on their designs. This way we can better meet your needs and wont feel like we are wasting our time resubmitting a new concept. Kind Regards.
Hi Mare and thank you for your note.. I am sending comments to designers whose images seem to reflect the broad guidelines I suggested. I truly am very appreciative of all the designers who are submitting-my own work load makes it very difficult to write intelligent meaningful comments on each entry. However I will try and write more open comments as time permits.
Hello, I would like to see entries with more integration of the text and the design. I also prefer the art work not be a closed circle-so many of the designs are exquisite inside the circle-I keep trying to erase the boundaries around the art work. I like the use of color to provide the "edges" of the design instead of a strong geometric boundary. Please no purples or pinks, the use of deep red is beautiful in many of these images. Thank you all, I am so impressed with the art work!!
One of the symbols associated with the city I live in are the egrets, cranes and herons. Does someone have an idea on how to incorporate oneof these birds with the flora images? Thank you!
Because of a work related opportunity I have extended the contest two days. I will start this evening ranking and providing feed-back in detail , thank you for your entries and understanding.
One of the designers reminded me- kindly- that while some of the entries are truly beautiful, they will not print well when they must be small enough for a business card, beautiful enough for high end magazines and then large enough for a company vehicle. This also affects color choice with pink being a particular problem. Your comments are appreciated.
