(The Subway logo would drop into place at the bottom)(This comment references Entry #2) 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Hello,Just a heads up: I have to leave town for the weekend for a family emergency (with no computer access). I would like to submit some new ideas for you, but may not have time before your contest ends. If I get back in time, I will surely submit some more though. Your contest is at the top of my priority list.Best of luck with everything.-Jake 14 years ago Stan Greene Client Hi Jake,Likely I will extend the context five or seven days - so no problem getting back before the end of the contest.Cheers. Stan. 14 years ago Stan Greene Client PS - I like to look of your shield logos (Draft, No. 5), etc. That idea might look good sitting behind the text?Cheers again. 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Hello Stan,Here are some new ideas for your review. Let me know if any of them catch your eye more than others, and I will be happy to pursue it further. Thanks for looking.(#19 & #20 are very typical Subway colors and branding) (#21 & #22 incorporate the New Zealand flag, just for a little different solution to the problem)-Jake 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer I forgot to mention: I have Corel Draw X3, so that won't be an issue at the conclusion of the contest. 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Hi Stan, Depending on my workload this evening, I am hoping to finalize some wordmark ideas for you as well. It would be nice to get a simple wordmark that could accompany the shield, or stand on its own as an alternate option.Talk with you again soon. 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer #30, #31, #32Here are some wordmarks for your review, Stan. As I mentioned, any of these could stand alone as an alternate to the main shield logo...it would all depend on if you decide you want a shield or a wordmark. Or I would be happy to show you a layout with both included.Thanks. 14 years ago Stan Greene Client Hi.Like the idea of the alternate to the main logo - it may sit nicely over the top of a photo image of Queenstown mountains, lake, bungy, etc (#30).I like the star in "town" - that's a keeper (#32). If we keep the three-star-across-the-top design, it makes four - which is what we have on our flag (the Southern Cross formation). The white shape can't have the sharp angles as the company logo can't be altered in anyway - so this needs to be oblonged / sandwich shape to correctly take the logo if placed in this position. Is it possible to add a fabric effect to the flag background? - it will make it look more like the flag.See how you go with that.Cheers. 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Here is a revised shield, with all of the components combined into one.(This comment references Entry #39) 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Here is some flag texture incorporated as well. I am still seeing if I can add more without seeming busy...(This comment references Entry #40) 14 years ago GoodGuy Design Logo Designer Hi Stan,I added another version of the 1st place design, using the Subway colors, just in case you wanted to see it as well. Let me know if there is anything else you want me to try and touch up for you, and I will be happy to provide.Thanks. 14 years ago
