Discussion

Hey there,
Very cool designs! If you'd be willing, could we see the likes of #38 or #39 with some bolder more masculine "Stucco Films" text, and/or the dry stucco wall texture incorporated?

Thank you for these submissions!

Hey man! Really like this style you're doing. #72 and all the ones like it are awesome!! We'd be interested to see that same design with something other than the "S" you've been using (although it is a very cool "S").

We just posted a comment that contains some more ideas for "film imagery" and are very interested to see what you do with it.

As a thought, could you try placing the shutter aperture symbol, or something like that in place of the "S"? Or incorporated with the "S".
Something like that... (just throwing around ideas).

Thanks a lot! You've got some great stuff coming in!!

Wow! that's nice idea. Okay, I'll try and let we see what I can do best for your logo. will upload soon. Thanks.

If you get a chance, could you please try #72 with an aperture in place of the red "S".

Thank you!

Sorry about delay respond. Here my update design. Hopefully you like. Thanks.

Elvin,

We really love your designs a lot!! You're our first pick right now, but we'd love to see some of #72 with NO "S". Below are 2 different versions we would like to see.

1) Completely remove the "S" please. No image in the film strip at all. Just the stucco texture how you have it without the "S".
Rough Example: http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a611/Scott_Tellez/logo4_zps953b36da.png

2) In a different version, we want to see #72 with NO "S" at all, and an aperture symbol instead of the "S". Please replace the "S" with an aperture symbol (in red).
Rough example: http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a611/Scott_Tellez/logo3_zps5863b9e9.jpg
(without the "S" in the background... and the aperture symbol in red.)

Thank you so much, Elvin! We're really sorry to keep making you change things around. Sorry if this is confusing. Please let me know if any of this is unclear or confusing, and I will try to say it better.

Thank you thank you thank you!!! Really great stuff!

Here's a better example of what we're looking for.

http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a611/Scott_Tellez/logo4_zpsb8f38155.jpg

It's very rough... the color isn't right, but that's the basic idea.

Thank you,

Thank you so much man! Those are all great!

Ok, revision time. We're gonna take this 1 steps at a time.

Step 1) #127: Is there any way to make the stucco texture more obvious/clear/slightly 3d looking? It doesn't have to change too much.. But for example, we really like the clarity (kejelasan?) of the texture on #142.

The texture being very clean and obviously recognizable as a stucco wall is very important to us. Please try whatever you can to make it a little more clean/clear.

Once we see a texture that we like, I can give more directions.

Thank you! We think in after a few steps your design will really work great for us!! Thank you for all your patience and cooperation!

Just so you can see where we are going with these steps...
We are eventually looking for a refined/cleaner/better version of this: http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/4369/2y8u.jpg (in all the correct resolution/formats).

Step 1, is getting that stucco wall texture to look really amazing. We'd like a few versions of that to pick from before moving to step 2, if you could manage.

Step 2, would be to add the aperture symbol so that it looks like it is really painted onto the stucco wall (like the "S" in #72).

Step 3, will be to add a lense flare (light), as seen in the link above, and to make it look a little like an old film strip/negative.

But like I said, 1 step at a time please. We'd like to see that texture 1st, before moving to step 2. =]

**************************************
Also, when this is all finished, will we be able to get ALL the revision you've done, and possibly even the actual project files from you? They would be very useful in the future.

Once again, thank you for all your hard work on this!! You've really done a great job coming up with a logo we REALLY like! We can't thank you enough!! We're very impressed!

Here's some more of my attempts to get closer to something we were thinking: http://i1286.photobucket.com/albums/a611/Scott_Tellez/Logoattempt_zps2fa8bd60.jpg

I have not been able to get the aperture to be the same color as the "S" on #72, or make it look painted onto the stucco background like you did (both important qualities)... Also, these examples are a little too bright and have too much color for us (we still want the color to be subtle like #72). I hope this gives a pretty good idea of what to shoot for.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks! We can't wait to see what you do!

Hi,

Here the stucco texture. if I wrong or you don't like just tell me and I'll make other one until get the stucco you want. I'm not sure about the flare with the vector format.
Again. I'm sorry about this mess.

Thank alot still consider my design.

Hey,

We actually like your old stucco texture (#72) better than this new one (#153).

Let's try this. Use the original stucco background from #72 and place the aperture symbol in the same style/color that you did with the "S" on #72.

We like the color, and style that the "S" is placed on the stucco in #72. If you can do that with the aperture symbol we will be very happy.

Of course we're still considering your design man! Don't worry about the lense flare.
The truth is that we really like #72. We just want to see the aperture symbol in place of the "S", in the same color/style as the "S". We like the color a lot, and we like how the "S" is solid with randomly missing sections.

Thank you,

#157 is just almost perfect!

2 small things: (so sorry)

1) Is the stucco texture in #157 the exact same as in #72?
It looks a little blown out (more white) than #72.
If it's not the same, please make it the same texture you used #72.

2) Please increase the amount of the random, missing/ripped out sections on the aperture symbol.
We really like how splotchy looking the "S" is, and want more of that in the aperture.

Can't thank you enough Elvin! You are definitely our pick! Sorry for all the revisions... I hope we're not driving you too crazy.

OUCH! I was very sleepy last night and I fell asleep.
Does not matter to me about your revision. I try my best so that you get your logo.
I'm fine and enjoy doing this. :)

upload the revisions with real old stucco

cheers!

Elvin thank you! Just trying to get it really dialed in so we won't want to change it for a very very long time.
We really appreciate you putting up with us.

You're definitely the winner regardless, so it doesn't really matter.. But if you wouldn't mind, can we ask you to do just 1 or 2 more versions?

Something between #165 and #157, with a LITTLE less red around the edges. Right now, #165 looks kinda like the stucco portion is outlined in red.

On a scale between #165 and #157, somewhere around the mark.

#165 <---------------|-----> #157

Thank you so much!!!! PROMISE, this is the last revision.
