ok, on the right track, and you've got the outline. Can we:
1) zoom out a little to allow space for trees on both sides.
2) add 'shading' (solid color please) on the house
3) reverse to negative...
4) one of our managers is not too keen on the ribbon and 'strawberry creek inn' or placement. once the line art is finalized, would love to see other options? also possibly move the ribbon up a bit in the layout (may be possible after you zoom out?) and put "INN" under and inside the diamond?

when you do, keep in mind that we may want to see the final line art in other shapes, diamond, 'fat' horizontal septagon that you created, oval, or pentagon, so you may want to do the entire line art one... thanks!

Good afternoon, and thanks for the revisions. This is looking like we're heading on the right path.

Let's put a hold on the layout and shape for now, though we really like your diamond!

Can you use our existing line art to create an original, simplified more graphic representation of the house and trees? whether positive or negative (white/red inverted), simple line version, with bold lines, that would be easy to see and discern detail from a distance.

Our goal is not to re-use our existing art but for each artist to use our artwork to create their own line art (for the interior of the diamond).

This seems the best shape of the bunch.

We don't like the placement of "Inn" & "B&B" so much... maybe just use "INN" and center it?

as for finalizing this design, we really would like to see your take on a line art or simplified version of the house /trees line art inside the medallion. Something that modernizes the design and makes it easy to reproduce in embroidery, emboss, and signs and such. Maybe you can work on an original artwork tonight/tomorrow , with this shape as the main one and the pentagon #39 and septagon #40 as other designs.

The ribbon doesnt seem to work on this shape as much though, and I'm not sure about the red line to left and right of "INN". Maybe as we revise the interior artwork you can give us a pentagon version. (see your other submissions).

This is exactly what i said,....
but I've been voted down by my other partner. Before we give up on this can you try one revision, rounded edges (I will add this as a clarification for all artists shortly) and maybe a simpler banner that's a bit lower on the pentagon to still show the shape while maintaining the unique placement?

Thanks for submitting!!! we took a look at your other work and WOW we're so honored to have you working on our contest.

Please also review the revised brief (revised this morning and early afternoon) with new updates and the general discussion with new ideas we had for shapes (none used by other artists yet).
We would LOVE to see your work in the new and creative shapes (5 sided pentagon, with flat top, rounded edge?? ).

Specifically for this design, we like the idea of the ribbon in a simple oval medallion, this was our initial concept. For the line art, we would really love to see your original simplified modernization. Something new and unique to you that captures the essence of the original artwork but new and simpler, cleaner, more modern.
