I think the symbol centered in the graphic will need to be about 1/3 the total size of the graphic. 6 years ago David commented on #130 Withdrawn smaller wheel . 6 years ago David commented on #126 Withdrawn I'll prepare the other one with the ship wheel a bit smaller . 6 years ago astorch commented on #125 Withdrawn I like this too. I'll enter it into a new survey. We may need to make the wheel smaller. 6 years ago astorch commented on #126 Withdrawn I like it. I'll enter this into a new survey. 6 years ago David commented on #126 Withdrawn and one with a rose . also both last entries have the large white strip . i have left the thin blue ones for a separation, to break a bit the overall look, but if you wish those can be easily removed. 6 years ago David commented on #125 Withdrawn let's try with a ship wheel if the anchor doesn't perform so well in surveys 6 years ago David commented on #110 Withdrawn I can definitely try. But : as per your comment, the anchor is not well received . Any other symbol i should try please? 6 years ago astorch commented on #110 Withdrawn Let's try one more thing. Make one wide white stripe. Place a simple nautical symbol in the middle. It can be an anchor, compass rose, ships wheel, boat profile, lighthouse, etc. 6 years ago David commented on #117 Withdrawn maybe something like this ? simple line rendition of an anchor. 6 years ago David commented on #110 Withdrawn glad you do . i'm working now on the anchor with lines only and no fill. 6 years ago astorch commented on #110 Withdrawn I like this. 6 years ago David commented on #112 Withdrawn i can try the anchor made only from lines, no fill . 6 years ago astorch commented on #112 Withdrawn I really like having a nautical themed symbol but I think I like the simple one with stripes only. Unless you can add a more simple rendition of an anchor? 6 years ago David commented on #112 Withdrawn anchor fits the red stripe only. 6 years ago David commented on #80 Withdrawn i understand. a moment please. 6 years ago astorch commented on #80 Withdrawn Might even be able to keep the anchor and the size of the red stripe but make the anchor fit into the red stripe only...not extending into the white. 6 years ago David commented on #111 Withdrawn like this in size? the anchor i mean. 6 years ago David commented on #80 Withdrawn I'll add this version too in just a minute. 6 years ago David commented on #110 Withdrawn hope i got it right 6 years ago astorch commented on #80 Withdrawn Another idea is to shrink the anchor to make it a little less dominant. 6 years ago David commented on #80 Withdrawn Just need a sec. 6 years ago astorch commented on #80 Withdrawn This may be the one but I would like to see another option. Can you delete the anchor and make the white stripes more prominent such that they are of equal width to the center red stripe? 6 years ago David commented on #80 Withdrawn thank you ... sorry it took me so long to understand... haha 6 years ago astorch commented on #80 Withdrawn Looks great. 6 years ago David commented on #80 Withdrawn i have changed the text color to white for better visibility . 6 years ago David commented on #68 Withdrawn I think i finally got it. i just need a sec :) 6 years ago astorch commented on #68 Withdrawn I like it but would like to see the stripe go the other direction slanted from left to right. 6 years ago David commented on #69 Withdrawn Probably the writing might have to be a different color ... a bit more contrasting : white or light gray . Okay i'm waiting for your thoughts. 6 years ago David commented on #69 Withdrawn of course, if you want the logo to have same inclination on the both sides it will have to have the stripes slanted differently and i am not sure how the anchor will take place in the middle - one side will be a bit off ... If you wish i can try one variation too. 6 years ago David commented on #69 Withdrawn #68 and this one there : on red background. no SMTA , and notice the white below the red stripe . also this one is made for the starboard the other one for the port side 6 years ago David commented on #43 Withdrawn Okay : let me please answer all of the concerns . First ...i'll place the logo on a red background so you can see the red stripe has a fine white offset around it . I'll help you with the font after the contest is complete (not allowed to do it in an ongoing contest) . The stripe direction if i understand correctly : the logo would have 2 sides mirrored . starboard/port side . No problem, can be easily worked. one of them will have the the text on the right of the graphics the other one on the left, no changes on the graphics is necessary . And i'll prepare a version of the logo with no SMTA . Hope this clears the things a bit :) 6 years ago astorch commented on #43 Withdrawn I think we should eliminate the SMTA off of this logo too in order to simplify some more. 6 years ago astorch commented on #43 Withdrawn I'm also wondering if the stripe should have the opposite angle or direction? So, on the port side of the boat the stripe will go from left to right going top to bottom. Then on the starboard side of the boat the stripe will do the opposite. Like the italics in Storch, I think this gives a look of forward motion. 6 years ago astorch commented on #43 Withdrawn I like this one a lot. The only problem I can see with it is that the red stripe will disappear on the side of a red boat. Unless, there is full color white on either side of it. I like the italics look of the lettering in Storch. Is this a common Microsoft Word font because I will have to be able to duplicate it in all of my other marketing information every time I write the word Storch. 6 years ago David commented on #43 Withdrawn Thank you :) 6 years ago astorch commented on #43 Withdrawn Very cool! 6 years ago David commented on #36 Withdrawn #35 and #36 2 new takes on the anchor. Left everything else unchanged. 6 years ago David commented on #28 Withdrawn i can try separating the initials as SM and TA on the sides of the anchor . I believe it would work. please allow me to work it and upload as fast as i can. 6 years ago astorch commented on #28 Withdrawn I also like the long logo which will cover the side of the boat. If you could simplify the anchor and incorporate the SMTA initials that would be good to see as well. 6 years ago David commented on #30 Withdrawn Thank you . I'll be commenting for both logos. The drawing is like the ones you see on dollar bills...the presidents. Old time engraving style. i can rework them like you suggested, lines only . The final file delivered here will be a vector file not a picture, which could be easily enlarged without loss at a size of a building :) 6 years ago astorch commented on #28 Withdrawn I think I like the diagonal stripes better than the vertical. Same comment as before on the anchor. 6 years ago astorch commented on #30 Withdrawn Nice idea. The light house is a good symbol of safety. Much like the anchor it might need to be more of a line drawing. This logo will be made into a large decal that is placed on the side of the boat. It will probably be about 3 feet tall and 4 or 5 feet wide. 6 years ago astorch commented on #32 Withdrawn I like this. Simple but strong. I think the anchor needs to be more of a line drawing with no shadow or color gradient. 6 years ago
