You rock! Love the designs. Thank you very much.

#39
Love:
Realistic looking handguns.
***Love the arrow or spear points on the "A"***
Your Dog in your picture :)

Like:
The Overall appearance of the logo
The subtle appearance of the star

Wants:
The "S" is very nice but maybe a touch too subtle to jump out as "SA" - don't change it too much...its very close.
But what does Stillwater Armory do? If someone saw this logo, they would understand we have something to do with guns but is there any way to add the information???
"Stillwater Armory" could be bigger.

Concerns:
The overall look of the logo is a little too flight attendant.

Thank you again, this is VERY cool.

Same comments in geneal as #39. You addressed the "What do we do?" question but its so small, I would be concerned it would get lost or not translate well onto embroidery.

Same comments in general as #39 & #41. I like the stars but I don't love them. I guess I like how they add to the logo but I'm afraid the stars give it a little too much "Team America" appearance.

Thanks for your feedback.
I made changes on color for "S" so it gets differentiated from "A".
I have also changed the subtext to "Firearms Training" to show what you do.
Let me know what your thoughts.

thanks

#44 - I think I liked the earlier versions better but I do like the black "airbrushing" effect. I wasn't getting the "S" confused with the "A", I was loosing the "S" in all the bars. I think maybe keep the "SA" the same colors and either add the black effects to the S and the A or add the black effects to the bars.

I don't want to go with "Firearms Training" alone. I preferred the Train. Defend. Live slogan to just the training. That paints us into too much of a training center and not any product sales. I think either use the earlier logo but just bigger or come up with something else to use as a slogan that defines us.

Great work and thank you very much for the quick response.

#45 - Same comment on keeping the SA similar and differentiate the bars. I'm not sold on the colors as opposed to the steel gray but I'm going to give it some more time as the more I look at the colors, the more I like them.

Thank you very much for the efforts.

Tom,
Here is one new update with shield.
I have made changes on "S" by giving gap between wings and text. I also left "S" and "A" more lilke black and applied fade out effect on wings so it turns gray (lighter) to make clear reading on the text "SA".
Add different slogan to show you also sell stuff and give training.
by adding drop shadow on slogan, it should look clear enough from the logo.
I will keep posting other variations.
thanks

#101 - Thank you, you are a very talented designer. I really like this.

I love how the SA now stands out and the spear or arrow points on the "A" are still one of my favorite attributes of all designs. The silver of the logo will stand out great against our black shirts and black hats.

One thing my embroidery shop keeps telling me is to be careful with small text...it will be difficult to duplicate. For this reason, I think maybe just using the slogan of "Firearms -*- Training" with something separating the "Firearms" and the "Training" will do to convey what we do.

Other than that, I don't have any comments. Its very close but just missing something minor but I don't know what that something is.

I can't wait to see what other variations you come up with.

Hey, you changed dogs for your picture.

#103 - I think this has too many elements that don't really tie together. I'm unsure of it right now.

#104 - I immediately like a lot. I like the size of the logo to the "shield" in the background. I like the proportions in #104 better than #101. The shield almost has a 3D convex appearance to it that I really like. I really hesitate to suggest anything as that seems to get in your way, but could the wings have a slight curve to them to make it look like the entire logo had the 3D effect and the "SA" & "wings" were bolted to the shield???

#104 is one of my very favorite logos so far.

#105 - VERY interesting. The black definitely gives it a more aggressive edge. I potentially really like it. I'll see how it grows on me but I very much appreciate seeing this...I could easily see this design (#105) vaulting to the top.

I do notice that the "SA" does not stand out as much against the black shield.

KD, your entries are great. The more I look at the logo, the more I want to see the "wings" make a break at the edge of the shield and wrap around towards the back. I think this would give it a great 3D look and puts me in mind of the SA almost wrapping up the shield. Just like we try to take a student and cover or wrap up what they need to know for self-defense.

I really am hesitant to make such a suggestion as I usually end up just getting in the way of your great designs but this idea is really sticking with me. I will apologize in advance if it doesn't turn out good.

I'm still torn between the silver and black...just don't know which one I like best.

#120 - #123 - Dog, you ROCK! These are awesome. I don't know if I like the silver or black, with guns or without. I love them all!

#122 & #123 I think these are my favorite. The last thing I can think of is to use the space to the left of the "A" and put "Train." To the right of the "A" put "Defend." And under the "A" put "Live." That's kind of the slogan I'm going with.

If you can think of some other cool slogan, don't hesitate to use your brilliance and show me what you got. I don't know if I will like it any better or not but its worth a try as the areas to the right and left of the "A" look a little empty without the guns. I can't wait to see this idea as interpreted by you.

Thank you so much!

#124 & #125 - Increase the size of the font just slightly. Can you make the "Train" and "Defend" have a slight curve to it to match the "Stillwater Armory" so it retains that 3D look?

#152 - I really love your design and I like the little brushed spots you added.

Is there a way you could pull the SA off the logo and have just the SA in some cool look. What I'm thinking is I want to use a portion of the logo, maybe just the SA or some other portion you think would be cool, and have that printed on the chest pocket of a shirt and then have the entire logo printed on the back of the shirt. The portion of the logo used on the pocket would need to be interesting and tie directly back to the full logo.

I love your logo so much that I'm already figuring out exactly how I could use it very specifically.

If you could, please let me see your take on the above thought - ripping a portion of the logo off and using it by itself.

Also, I would like to see what the whole logo looks like against black.

Thank you so much for your work, you're an amazing designer.

#101 - See how the wings are pretty large in this logo. I would like to see a design where the wings were bent back at a 45 degree angle along a straight line at the edge of the shield instead of wrapping around it in a curve. Base the images on #128 except fold the wings back instead of wrapping them.

I think the new mirrored designs are very nice but are getting too busy and the mirrored look would be very hard to reproduce in embroidery. I've come back to 128 being my favorite.

#175 - I like the look of the SA by itself and it would have to be a part of the final transfer. I think I would like to see it without the color and just in silver or black or silver & black.

Tom,
Here are two updates for embroidery "SA" only version as you requested.
For other request giving 45 degree angle to the wings, I have tried but I didn't look any good because the top right and bottom left portion of wings attached to "S" look too urgly with 45 degree wings.
I will upload something different soon.

Kool - Thanks for the embroidery only look. It's exactly what I was looking for. I still really love your logo and its a definite contender. I'm showing the logos to a few trusted people and everyone agrees your in the top few positions but a few folds have said the round wrap-around has too much of a modern space-look.

I have no idea how to guide you differently but its so obvious that you have unbelievable talent, I'll leave it in your hands to try to massage the design a little.

Thank you so much for your efforts.

#202 - I really love your logo. I still like the wrap-around effect but I see the modern space-age look to it...still might choose it as my favorite...can't decide which of your logos I like better. This one and the wrap-around will still be among the top candidates.

Here's another idea...what if we went back to the more winged look but gave the wings and SA a look like they were bolted onto the shield? The wrap-around look has a definite 3D look to it but we lose that 3D look on #202. I really like the idea of having a separate section bolted onto the shield. We might not have to go back to the original wings but just stick with the "bars" coming off the SA. If you could make them stand out from the shield and bolt them on, that might be very cool.

#214 - YES! The bolts add the touch I was looking for. Its fantastic. You've made it a very tough choice for me. I don't know if you want to do any more work at this point or if its even needed. If you come up with something to make this even better, I would love to see it.

#226 - Yes, it rocks against the black background. Might want a fine silver edge on the outside of the shield just to give it a little more "pop" off the black background.

Thank you for not giving up on me. There was just that little something missing that you've now added with the bolts.

#229 - I think I prefer the slightly smaller bolts. I definitely like the additional silver when viewed against the black background. In fact, the wrap around gets lost on #229 since it is so dark.
