Designers need to know more about your company, how the name applies, what you do, etc. Right now, we know your name and that you work with "investor technology". As most (I'd say nearly all) of the designers on this site aren't investors, this is a bit of a vague for us. I'd suspect that that is why you're getting a lot of vague entries like "S" designs, broad-focus finance imagery, etc.

A core group of users for this product is commodity traders. Many commodities are affected by geologic events such as floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes. A primary feature of our software will take input from real-time weather APIs to show the user any major events that could affect a particular commodity. For instance, if you're looking at corn prices, you can look at the rainfall for a particular area and monitor for droughts or other significant events. If an area produces a particular commodity, knowing when a natural disaster strikes in real-time is vital to your investments.

You have to be careful when instructing designers to "build off their competitors". Taking other designers concepts or making their designs to close to another designer is against LC rules and they may be removed from the contest.

Designers - Please do not "build off" your competitors by using their ideas or concepts. We all know the rules.
