1. Use the type font from entry 61 and place it into entry 62 artwork layout. And, perhaps show us what this looks like with the black border around the type font as well.
We like the colorful curly top on the red bird that is in entry number 61. Can you modify this on the entry #62 so that the colorful curly is on it's head and not on it's bum?
One of the appeals of entry #48 is that each character is separated from one another as well as the type font. As long as we can pull each character from the file format you provide, it would satisfy this concern.
Hello, than you for this great feedback. Yes every character can be separated and be independent, but they can also work as a team and move around-per request :) I also uploaded couple of versions with font so you can compare. Please let me know what else would you like to see. Regards, Bob.
Thanks for thre recent submissions and the modifications.
So here is where we are at. Ryan loves all the characters with the exception of the snake. And judging from your profile photo you have a young son as well so you probably can relate. Our son is 4 years of age.
Can you please attempt to provide a character to replace the snake like one you currently have? Ryan does not like this one so much. And if we ever go to plush toys the snake would be problematic.
Other than that we love what you have done and this has been a great family activity
Hi, no problem about replacing the snake. I'm working on something right now. I just need to know which animals Ryan likes, so I could come up with something that would suit him perfectly. I'm having great fun with these characters as well. Big greeting for Ryan. Regards, Bob.
We have sent several email messages to you over the last 24 hours, and have not heard back from you. This is a real disappointment. Can we anticipate hearing from you?
Sorry to hear this :( I really didn't receive any of the messages. How did you send them? Where? This area and private messages are the only place I can read your comments. Please resend them here or to me over private message. This is a real confusion for me. Please get back to me. Regards, Bob.
Here is new character. The one I've been working on. Please let me know if this is more to Ryan taste. If not I would gladly redo it. And one more time please post every comment here. During the contest this is closed area, so nobody can see it and I will read it for sure. Thank you. Bob.
So Sorry Bob. We had sent the messages out to you yesterday via email. Now we know that we need to use this area. Below is what I sent out to you yesterday. Since we had this confusion, let's put it behind us now, and move forward. I will be very honest and up front with you. In our eyes, you are the winner, and we will have more work to come, and we (including Ryan) really like your style and ideas. I will review the new character with the family, and in the meantime, if you don't mind (and I know it is asking a lot), can you please see what you can do with a "kangaroo" style character? Again, Please read below, as this is what we sent out to you yesterday.
We look forward to working with you on more projects as this whole thing is starting to take a life of it's own.
Scott, Ryan and Clare.
That is a great question. I am somewhat reluctant to give a whole lot of guidance with this question. And the reason is this. What you have created so far (the blue character and the green character), they are both unique and do not resemble any particular animal per se. And we really like this concept. With this being said, Ryan loves kangaroos. So, if you were able to create a unique looking kangaroo it may work. And for the record, he likes "mommy" kangaroos (dont ask....lol). I hope this helps.
At the end of the day, I want you to know that your efforts are not in vain as we really like what you have done, and we are 95% certain to pick your work as the tournament winner. Let's just get this last bit sorted, and if there are any other tweaks we will sort it out. Also, "at this point" we are not even requesting any tweaks from other designers, as we feel it would be inappropriate to request additional work from them when we prefer what you have done, and dont want them to waste their time.
Lastly, after we get this stage sorted, the next step will be to have a "vehicle" created for the spookadonks. This should be good fun as well. When we go to start this contest, we will be sure to let you know. So, put on your thinking cap for this one as well.
As you (hopefully) can work on a "kangaroo" style character, (mommy Kangaroo that is), can we please see the type font style you have on entry #62 incorporated into the entry #77?
Great news Scott :) I'm starting sketching kangaroo (mommy) and will upload new font in a minute. Please be just a bit patient with kangaroo, as it may take some time before I fully design it. Thanks. Bob.
No worries Bob. Thanks for the follow up. I am kicking myself that you did not get the messages yesterday (specifically about the mommy kangaroo), as it put us a day behind. Looking forward to it Bob.
And as I said, we are already gearing up for additional art as this Spookadonks is starting to take on a life of it's own. My "real job" is that I own an internet marketing and website development company, so I already have info sent off to my programming team to begin the website development side of all of this.
Lastly, Ryan has informed us that the wonkadonks (which of course are the spookadonks best friends...lol) will need artwork.
What have I gotten myself into?
Anyway, patience from this end is no problem, and be assured that more work is on the way, so your extra efforts now, will be worth it.
hehe :)) Ryan is a great kid!!! I love the way he's beautiful mind works :)) He already has a fully developed world of Spookadonks. You have some great and "fun to work on" project in the future. I'm off to work now on kangaroo. Bob.
Hi Scott, here is mommy kangaroo in Spookadonk family. I hope this is what Ryan had imagined. Please let me know what you and your family think. Regarding book illustrations I did one small, very simple project, but didn't really enjoyed it. So I'm not very experienced in that field. Waiting for your feedback. Regards, Bob.
Thanks for the new submissions. Ryan's reply (coming from the pure honesty of a four year old). "I don't like it Daddy"....lol..........So, I think the characters from entry #80 will probably be the final ones. Can we please see the character from entry #78 have his legs in a standing position, instead of the cross legged setup. Does this make sense? Essentially, we would just like to see this character standing on both legs, instead of the one crossed over the other.
Agree with you as well Bob. Give us a rough idea on when you think the revision will be ready. Also, start thinking about the "vehicle" for them. We are going to run another contest real soon, and the vehicle will be able to go on land, in the sea, and fly.
Well done Bob. We have finalized the contest and selected you as the winner. You should be getting the notification from Logo Tournament shortly I would assume. I don't know if this is possible, but as a request, when you go to send us the files, can you provide the files for the winning entry #85, and the files for entry #84 (with the green character having his hand up)? Ryan is still on the fence on which one he likes best as he picked #85, and then after we submitted the winner acceptance, said Daddy, I like the other one. This could change 10 more times throughout the day
So, would you be willing to send the appropriate files for both entry #85 and #84?
Lastly, what will be the best way to contact you once we start the "vehicle" contest?
Kind Regards From All of Us, Ryan, Scott and Clare
Scott, great news :) No problem about any options you would like me to send. I can deliver them to your personal mail, so please send it to me. My personal email address is slobodancigan@gmail.com so you can contact me directly. I really enjoyed this contest (and my son as well :)). Great regard to you and your lovely family (especially to Ryan). Best regards, Bob.
