#3 Thx for your entry. I like the way u use the X as a human being. :) To emphasize that speech and xpress are interelated, pls join the "legs" together with letter "h" and "p". Also, it will be cooler to use a font that can link up the letters.

Logo Designer
Hi.

You mean linking letters like in handwriting where all letters are connected to each ohter?

#4 You can connect the words "speech" and "xpress" more effectively. For example, using the bubble tail to link up the whole company name. (___________)

Yes. It's better that the design is professional, effective and fun.

#6 This design is cooler. Pls BOLD the words and use a font that can differentiate letter "e" &"c" more clearly. For the colour of the bubble, pls use royal blue instead. This will make the logo more professional.

A warm reminder: I find this logo quite similar to a logo from a Hong Kong fast food chain called Fairwood. You can refer to this link for reference: http://www.fairwood.com.hk/jspwww/eng/home.html
It's more appropriate to differentiate our logo from this fast food company.

Logo Designer
never heard of that company :)

#14 I like the way you use the white color. For the word "speech" and the conversation bubble, pls choose a BRIGHTer blue. It will be more youthful and energetic.

#10 This logo will be good if you can differentiate the letter "e" and "c" better. If I stand a few steps back, this logo will be difficult to see. I want it to be clear. Pls BOLD the words and use a brighter blue for the words and bubble.

#6 Pls change the color of "Xpress" to bright yellow and "Speech" to bright blue. The bubble to blue as well. This will provide a fresh perspective.

Excuse me, Randi. It's entry 13. :)

#13 Pls change the color of "Xpress" to bright yellow and "Speech" to bright blue. The bubble to blue as well. This will provide a fresh perspective.

#13 recolored is the same as #18 or #19

Noted! Pls follow the guidelines I've given for #13. I look forward to your revised versions.

#21 Better. Pls use BRIGHT blue. You can refer to this link for reference. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palatinate_blue#Palatinate_Blue Check out the Shades of blue. I prefer the one in b-l-u-e. Thx!

#20 Blue pls. #21 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palatinate_blue#Palatinate_Blue Check out the Shades of blue. I prefer the one in b-l-u-e.

hi. the blue you like is not very print friendly. so i made new versions that has printfriendly blue colors
#47 - #52.

the blue you liked is RGB color blue and if we switch it to CMYK it will be totally different. it is almost impossible to get the same bright blue in CMYK. RGB is light based colors so they always look more bright than their print versions.

Also do you prefer more yellowish orange or stronger orange color?

Hi Randi!Thx for your logo entries. i like your ideas. for the colour blue you mentioned, pls suggest which logo is the closest to the blue i want (when in CMYK) format. as for the orange colour, i prefer a slighly stronger orange. pls make our logo (areas in orange) different from the fast food chain logo i mentioned. Thx!

Logo Designer
Hello Jon,

#60 and #61 changed the orange also used bit different blues.
I think that the #60 is the closest to the blue you want. #61 I liked the blue :)

If you google picture search for "rgb vs cmyk" you should see a pic there that has different color stripes rgb on left cmyk on right, it basicly shows you what happens to the colors in comparison of rgb vs cmyk. That blue goes bit odd.

Thats why i mixed up bit better version #60
12 years ago

I like #60. :) for the orange colour, i prefer a stronger orange colour (not red). Pls make sure both colours used are print-friendly. thx!

Logo Designer
i think #62 is better than #63 63 goes too red :)

#62 is COOL for me. ;)

Logo Designer
Hi Jon,

if theres anything you want me to change or try. please let me know :)

To perfect this logo, pls try an another style by turning the last 2 's' to the style of the first captial s. i want all letters easy to read. let's see how it goes.

For logo #62, pls modify the "x" and bubble. It seems that the person is protesting against sth. I want him/her to be enthusiastic but not mad at speaking. This logo should convey the following messages to the students between age 17-22:
#1 - Giving presentations CAN be simple, effective, creative and FUN.
#2 - In our Xpress, speech, communication and the world are all INTER-connected. We are ONE.
#3 - With effective communication skills, you will have a bright future and make your dreams come true.
Look forward to your winning logo entries. :)

I am not sure what pose it should have to still remain the feel of the X
12 years ago

How about not raising the hands so high (no preaching)? I prefer this to be interaction between human beings. Just like a good friend communicating with you.

Changed the bubble also. made it oval, feels more friendly
12 years ago

#91 Much better. I can feel the friendly image. Cheers mate. :)

Hi Randi, are #91 and #105 in cmyk colours (which are the professional standard)? Also, make sure they are print-friendly. (same colour in printing) Thanks!

Logo Designer
we can try few orange blue version more

Hi Randi! For the colours you use, pls make sure that they are very, very similar on Web, Print, Billboards & Signs, Television, Mugs and T-shirts. Which format, RGB or CMYK, will serve this purpose the best? Thanks! :)

Logo Designer
everything you see on screen (tv screen computer screen) are RGB

all printable things are CMYK

Logo Designer
if you have more questions, let me know

Pls first submit entries that are in RGB colours (which can be changed to CMYK colour in a very similar colour). You can also submit the previous 2 designs that I rank you No. 1 and 3. In the next 24 hours I'll decide who's the Champion. I look forward to your great designs.

Hi Randi, are #91 and #105 in RGB colours? Pls make sure these colours can be changed to CMYK format in very, very similar colour later on. Because for the time being, I'll mainly use this logo on the web. But later on, I may want to use this logo in printing (e.g. T-shirt, catalog, workbook). Pls advise.

If you choose a winner you will get a EPS file

that is like a source file and can be saved to different formats also can be converted cmyk to rgb

I submitted 3 versions. notice that the hole between the h and X is gone. if you like the version with the hole let me know :)

3 similar color version.
#113 is closest to #91 but has better colors.
other 2 are slightly lighter

Logo Designer
Also having a source file allows you to change the colors at any time you want.

Noted with thanks! I prefer there're no holes between letter "h" and "x". BTW, are the colours in #112 the same as the colours in #91? The blue is brighter and I hope both blue/ orange colours look good in printing and web. Thanks!

Logo Designer
theres a very small difference between those 2 colors 112 is just bit better :)

#112 Good logo. To perfect this, pls connect the last 2 "s" letters like the one in #70. Also, I'd like the final "s" letter join the previous "s". Thanks!

Logo Designer
am i getting it correct that you prefer the "s" letters on #70 and want the #112 have those "s" letters ?

The "s" letters" on #70 is better. To perfect the "s" letters, pls follow the s style in #70 and also link the final 's" letter to the previous one. So that the whole word "Speech Xpress" will link together. Cheers! :)
