Wow! very nice - I'm not sure about this for our logo - but I would love it if we could place diff't ethnic/gender pics for kids to put on tshirts - can I choose 2 logos through this contest? one for the logo and one for the front of tshirts & is it possible to have girls (light, dark, latino) as well as other races for boys?

Yes I think if you decide to pick 2 different logos you can set another prize.. You will have to talk to the administration about it tho.. In the mean time I will start on some other races of kids...Thanks.. Peg

I had a thought - is it possible to do a graphic of 4 or 5 kids depicting race/gender diversity - rather than the singular child - that might really solve the dilemma - thanks for working on this...

Well - we've had lots of people comment about how great this logo is - so there are a couple of things that keep "holding me back" a bit -

We're wondering about the font - could it be livelier - if you notice the others I have placed around yours - there is a liveliness to them - that said, I recognize that the look can be diminished by messing too much with your original idea - so you can let me know if you think it's not a good idea

also, we were hoping that one of the girls would have long hair - one of the boys should be latinor or african american - I am worried about adding this to my suggestions cuz it's not like a have to have - but you know the closer I get to choosing - the more I'm looking at the detail and ultimate useability - please let me know if I have asked too much in my suggestions - thank you again, Sam

Hi Sam, I have changed up the wording but using the same font to make it livelier, and made the Latino girls hair longer. The 4 different Kids from left to right are Latino, Caucasian, Asian, and African American. Thanks so much.. Peg

Hi Peg,

We're all really into your logo - which means we're more focused - this may or may not be how the contest should work - but I'm gonna share our thoughts... if it's just too much - let me know - tell me what my options are about this logo - at the end of the contest - conceptually, it's a great representation of our vision

The font isn't lively enough, we like the fonts that are more like script or have movement to them...

The kids have a couple of issues... they appear like they're singing - don't know what they'd look like if one was speaking and the rest were smiling or if all of them looked they were talking - it's not that we wouldn't accept this -

Please remove the - the power of a child's voice - we're gonna change that tag line and don't want to be locked into it for the logo

Can we get artwork for both print and the web - your illustrations are truly a gift to us - but we need to understand what kind of limitations we have -

We can change the font ourselves if we have the artwork.

I am extremely concerned about offending you - you are far exceeded our expectations already - but I also feel the need to be really honest about what we're wanting - that said, I am not an illustrator or graphic artist - and I absolutely know that "amateurs" can ruin an artist's vision. Please be honest in response - I can handle it...

Hi, I love to hear feedback while working on a contest, Thanks!! I will work on the fonts and try some scripts and I will remove the tag line....As for the kids I really love them, but I will brainstorm on how I would artistically adjust them. I should have something for you tomorrow. Thanks so much.. Peg

Gosh Peg - I just can't get comfortable with their smiles/mouths - they look "too" much - I hate to ask you to do more work on them - I liked the font change - smiles are too large - mouth open too wide - all with the same expressions - I really like your concept but the kids faces have to be soft and inviting - inside of the cartoon feel..

also - is it possible - if you decide to work on the illustrations to try a less heavy font for "for the world" something less dominant - maybe the same font as Speak Out but not so chunky - thank you for working so hard on this...

#48 .. Hi, I have reworked each child making them all different softer more inviting expressions, yet still keeping the cartoon feel. I also changed the font on "For the World" Thanks so much for all your feedback..It has been a lot of fun working on this contest....Peg

i do like it and I'm trying to figure out how to get a silhouette or some sense of a youth attached to the logo - don't know that the 'cartoon" kid works - something a bit more sophisticated - where it's clear that "speak out"is a "youth" program -

not sure I can explain in more detail - but some profile or outline - of a youth - thanks for all of your effort, Sam

I liked this - alot - only issue is the loudspeaker - can't we make it a silhouette of a microphone ? otherwise - at the moment I'd change nothing...

I love what you did - like the colors - like the silhouette - like the world with lines - really cool! okay, looks like #99 is the best of the three - changing the tag line to youth ~ leadership ~ social good

now... here's the challenge - the chin on the guy is too pointy - looks like a goatee - is there a way to either add an image of a girl and make his image smaller so that are facing each other - or make him look more androgynous? I just don't know how we roll out a logo that is gender specific - or

maybe they could be standing side by side - silhouette with one holding the mic and the other connected in some way... or he could be in black and she could be in color - smaller - I don't know exactly - but you can tell we're really working this one... the girl on the left in #48 - somehow integrated - we noticed the hand is similar and in similar position - to the guy

and of course, you are working really hard too... thank you so much -

Also... can we make the microphone line "finer" -

Hi, Here I changed the tag line and took off some of the boys chin thinned out the mic cord and added the girl...Thanks so much.... Peg

okay, the girl - we were wondering if she could be "in color" also - can she turn to the side? possibly or her angle - neck looks odd - I'm sure you have a sense of how to pull off both a girl and boy in the scene - it's getting closer - just a couple of ideas...
