Hi! Thanks for comprehensive feedback. I apologize if I scared you with this Photoshop earlier and probably didn't express myself really well. What I meant was that this exact effect on Nike logo you posted was done in Photoshop. Everything you see here on my entries page is a vector art. A high realism can be created in vector but it just takes a bit more time. For example, a fire effect in entry
#65 is achieved using something called the gradient mesh in Illustrator. It's fully scalable and everything. Only so called raster element on some of my entries is a slight yellow glow around the logo but it will scale up and done perfectly when such option is selected in Illustrator. For final files this effect can be expanded to gradient mesh I was talking earlier so all becomes legit vector. Or can be replaced with just vector gradient element like you see in
#62. It's really forbidden here to submit raster graphics so you don't have to worry about that issue. I can't speak for others how well they follow guidelines but usually all designs you see on this site is in vectors, including my work.
I could probably make a very near impression to that Nike logo effect but I just have to think about it a little how to pull this off. I will also look into your suggestions regarding to my portfolio. I can submit new designs in a few hours time.
Thanks!
