International Trade Accord of Acadiana and Imperial Calcasieu

Two neighboring regional economic development organizations concentrating on international trade have joined forces to sign the Accord in order to promote the entire "Super Region" of the 11 parishes (counties) of Southwest Louisiana. The two organizations are the Southwest Louisiana Economic Development Alliance based in Lake Charles and representing the 5 southwestern most parishes of Louisiana and LeCentre International de Lafayette based in Lafayette and representing the six adjoining parishes to the east. As we have worked together in the past, this accord gives us a formal partnership and we would like to create a logo for the Accord to brand this region of the state as complimentary economies that work together to assist each other as we travel on trade missions and as we receive foreign guests to the region. The logo will be for marketing materials and other Accord correspondence. We have a heavy industrial and energy based economy as well as an entrepreneurial based economy and we are in the heart of Cajun Country. Outsiders will not recognize the Acadiana and Imperial Calcasieu regions by name so those terns should not be used.
