It is an interesting design. I would lean toward legal symbolism instead of something patriotic like you have here. I am not a fan of the pinkish colors- how about trying it with green, black and white? You can leave the slogan out as I am leaning toward taking it out alltogether. The font should be caps.

Thank you for your design. Section symbols are fine but a little stoic for what I am doing. If you wish to experiment, perhaps look at the SZE law firm logo that is in the site portfolio. I like that one. I also like the Prism law firm logo.
