Thank you for entering. I really like your design. If I may offer a few suggestions:
Colors: I like the colors and the sunrise effect in the background. Well done. I am game for trying a fun green or a red too.
Design: We can go two ways - the SC is nice but a little stoic. Perhaps something fancier - cursive or some other font? I prefer circular as far as emblems go. If you opt for a picture, the snowflake look won't work for California. Scales are too overdone unless you can make them unique but think "legal" and "law firm".
Font: I prefer the spacing and font on the circular logo with even spacing on the sides. It looks nice and clean.
Thanks very much for entering! I liked your musical design because it incorporated a piano in a very clean, unique and fancy way...maybe think along those lines...
Thank you for looking at a different font. I liked the other submission better. My thought is that we can perfect the logo in the following manner:
Design: circular design works better for me than the diamond design. I would like to see what you can do with a "sunrise" concept- like "The sun always rises" gives people hope that their crises will resolve with time.
Font: I like fonts with serif and more pronounced ends to them. I like a more masculine font.
Color: I would like to see some different color variations with the sunrise concept.
Let's try this- I so cannot decide on the colors since they are all really cool.
Design: let's get rid of the ball. Maybe you can put Southern California in the light and put Family Law Group in the black...I would like to see what that looks like. Perhaps playing with shadow effects would be cool too.
I love it. Can we try a few things with colors...I would like to see the sun in the red and blue and I would like to see the writing in black (as you have it) and white.
I like the effect of the second rank better than the first still. I think I like the division between the black and the color. Can you continue to play around with the colors and placement of the writing? Blue, reddish and green are my favorites so far. I do not like the yellow for some reason. The writing needs to pop so white or black are fine depending on the color you use for the bright side. It is not quite there yet but it will be. Thanks!
This (#54) is so close to "the one". The color is commanding. The font is strong. The diamond with the "SC" is a little out of place, though something needs to be there. I keep thinking a silhouette of Lady Justice, just black, with the sun at her back standing exactly on the horizon would fit here perfectly. Can you try that for me? I'd love to see it.
#122. I like the silhouette...in black. If you take a look at #1 & #2 now they look more "finished", I think part of it is that the black on #1 & #2 is more crisp and less dull or faded. But there's something else...I just can't figure it out. Do you see what I mean?
I like the way you are thinking, but the star in the background made it look a bit more like a religious symbol. I do like the more finished look in the first couple but I also like the lady justice concept. Can you continue experimenting with different designs?
Perhaps it is my screen, but the font does not look sharp and even looks like a cut out? Same with lady justice. Is there a way to sharpen the font and the lady justice? I do not like the jagged edge look. Looks great!
The "smoothing" touch needs to be really really subtle so we can maintain the blindfold on her head and so that she doesn't look fat :) Feel free to make her thinner as well...
Let's just smooth out the left side of her gown and see what happens. The headpiece is tough to touch and the arm looks like a robe so that is fine. My issue is her left side looks like she was cut out with a jagged scissors...make sense?
I love your design but I am struggling with the simplicity of the first ranked design. I love the pen idea and how it casts a shadow of lady justice is really cool. I also love your design so it is really challenging for me. In terms of symbolism, I favor the pen over the globe at this point...But again, it is really close! If you want to play around with the pen idea with your design, I am absolutely open to your concepts. It may be as simple as the Southern California in a cool font separated by a mont blanc fountain pen with Family Law Group beneath it. I have no idea...
I like it a lot. Let me sit on it for a little while. If I want you to make changes, I will let you know. I would like to get some other input from colleagues etc. as well. It is too close for me...
