Sophia's Skate ShopLogo Design Contest

Thanks so much - our website is really about Figure Skating and therefore we want to be sure to portray skating in our logo - I am not actually very fond of the font or the pose in #4 but at the moment this is the closest in idea to what I will be looking to do.....maybe something a little more current/modern?

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage more participation.
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

I like the use of the skaters but would like to see some different fonts - not fond of the script at the bottom - doesn't read very well - and would like to play with color

My daughter (Sophia) said that sometimes she gets comments that people are unclear if she is a skater or a gymnast based on the logo on her skating jacket..... I want to be sure that we don't have that issue

I really like the fonts in submission #10 however the pictorial looks like a dancer and not a figure skater.....
this needs to be adjusted to look more like an image that is in submissions #6 or #7
But this is looking really great - love the drop shadow effects on the "ice" that really helps - and think that would help a lot with the look of the blade - anyway to get some rhinestoney/glittery effects on the dresses?

Anyway to simulate some glitter or sparkle on the ice......... rhinestones are big in our industry

Hi all -
I am actually out of town at the Regional Figure Skating competition with my daughter and her teammate so I apologize for the slowness in ranking. I am grabbing access to a computer in the hotel lobby when I am able. We should be finished tonight and then will be able to get bacl to the real world. Please keep submitting. I am really loving what I am seeing I just can't rank on my BlackBerry!

Just extended the contest for an additional 5 days - we have been out of town at Southwest Pacific Regional figure skating competition and have just returned home.....

Someone suggested trying to get more detail/color on the dress to simulate an actual skater........not sure if that is a realistic expectation. Any comments?

Dear CH, Luke Concept have been taken to LC because he used an exact stock art image which he did not do the effort to draw to give you an original logo / artwork. Not to mention the problems of using a copyrighted stock art image available online.

Admins will look into this issue and deal with it, sorry for the inconvenience caused by this designer.

My design is INCOMPLETE! :(

When i saw the competition there was less than an hour left but my idea was a pair of ice skates with nice feminine patterns and snowflakes. The lace if one of the skates would be the "S" for "Sophia's". It's more sad that the contest was already extended. If you could extend some more I would be able to submit the complete design or maybe you can send me a private message and arrange to see what I have.
