Hi there, nice to see you back with another contest. :-) Got some ideas for this one, but here is one for now.

Reference Entry #49 and use the same background red colors

also can we see some fire blended into the eagle in a Maroon and Teal or blue color

also can you put the name at the top and make the name match the eagle and border with the maroon and fire?

Ok I will work on this, but it might take me some time to get the fire right. ^.^ Not sure maroon and teal would look good as flames, but we can try it. Blue Flames might be kinda cool.

Can you outline the eagle and name with Maroon and a Teal.

Also can you blend the wing tips into flames?

Hey Birdman!

Ok, so I just uploaded some of me playing with the flames. My munchkin just woke up from her nap, so I will have to continue work on the flames tonight after 8pm.. I usually work pretty late into the night when I'm onto something so you can definitely expect a lot more entries. =D sorry for the delay.. parent duties call!

Also, Bomba is not happy about my using his Flag inside the Oval, so I'm going to have to withdraw those :-/ I'll find a different shape to use then, maybe round or we can go with just the eagle shape. Sorry bout that.

After the contest ends it goes into Judging mode. I can still submit during judging, only the number one ranked designer can. If you decided you wanted to see more stuff from bomba, you just update the rankings and he would be in first and then he could submit. Lots of contests stay in judging a few days while the contest holder works with their favorite designers intermittently.

Like I said, the flames are a bit complicated so its going to take me about an hour or so to get some good choices for that. :-/

#78 is a preview of what I've got going for the flames as far as texture. I haven't incorporated maroon and teal in the flames yet because I can't get it to look right. :-P Grr!

Hey Birdman,

Sorry for the delay. Took me a bit to concoct some changes.. really had to play with it a bit to get the desired effect. (And a fight with my computer, LOL!)

Still trying to figure out a viable way to put flames on just the ends of the wings like you asked (and have it still be a vector graphic, because it's easy to do in Photoshop, but then it wouldn't be vector. I want it to look natural if I do it... going to sleep on it and see if I can figure it out in the morning. :-)

Can you put that blue flame eagle behind the 2nd ranked flag eagle and then put a red background like Bomba used

I like 2nd ranked best so far but i feel its missing something to call it good.

check this out. the idea is the design stays the way it is in the 2nd ranked and then you add the blue flames like a light coming from behind it.

Hey Ryan,

SO sorry for the deiay in uploading revisions to the logo. I sat down to work tonight and something really weird happened with my network device and we spent like two hours trying to figure it out. Note #74, and then note #99 ... if you thought there was something missing, it's probably because I forgot to put feet on the eagle!

(I about died laughing when I realized I'd been working with amputee eagle the whole time!)

#99 is the corrected eagle. :-)

These are my top choices

Can we put number 4 lettering and coloring on to number 1 and have no shadowing around the lettering

Can we also do the same thing with glow around the lettering to see the difference.

then can we see this same designs on a white back ground with and without the blue glow.

and finally can i see # 2 on a white background

Uploaded one last one before I saw your latest notes. #107 has kind of an 'ember' edging.. like it was burning, but now it's cooling down and there's just a faint ridge of fire around the edge. Ok at least that's what it's supposed to look like.

AS for your first rank and 4th rank... the lettering is actually the same exact color but the black background makes it look lighter than when it's on a white background. Optical illusion. I can darken the lettering even more on the black background to try to make it match.

Ok, I added what you asked, for, please note the blue glow has to be darkened to be on a white background otherwise it wont show up. So I had to change the color of the glow. Its quite possible you are going to need more than one coloration version of this logo for different backgrounds.

can we take the lettering and take out the blood red and make the entire name the same coloring as the light blue shading as behind the eagle.

You are making this so difficult for me as you are soo good at what you do I can't decide. They are all so good.

Ok, as you can see, Entry #116, WITH the light blue text and light blue glow does not work on a white background as displayed in entry #120. It is no problem for me to provide you with one logo for a black background (with colors accordingly) and one logo for a white background (colored accordingly). I think I did this for you for the Birdman's Adventures contest, if you recall.
