Our Ideas & Additional Information
What I have now is a decent version of a symbol, and a crappy version of the word 'Sonetrade'. The word Sonetrade came from the idea of "social network trading", although we don't need to reflect that in the logo. I think I'd like the word 'sonetrade' to be very simple (don't use .com), and a small symbol of some sort to the left of the word (could be similar to the 3 way trade symbol I have now next to the word - this symbol has a TV, jacket, and lawnmower in it, I'd prefer not to use any specific items like this in the logo). I'm open to having the symbol you create being a part of the word 'sonetrade' if it looks good. Here are URLs for screenshots of some of the main sections of the site to give you an idea of how the site will function. I look forward to seeing your ideas - Thank you!

Thank you everyone for your submissions thus far. For the symbols, I like how #1 shows transitioning from one entity to the next within a closed loop with the arrows (like a multi-person trading circle). I'm also interested in seeing if anyone has ideas of how to incorporate some type of symbol into the word sonetrade. Thanks again!

While I really like how #1 and #7 look, please feel free to stray from the symbol being to the left of the word. I was excited to see #8 incorporating the symbol into the word. I'm wondering if there's other ways to do it. Thank you to everyone who has entered so far!

Thank you for the new entries from green and kuur. These new designs look nice, but I really need the symbol in the logo to reflect the concept of a trading circle - multiple elements all pointing to / swapping with each other in a closed loop. #1 and #7 do a good job of this. I also like what HerDish is doing with putting the symbol into the word sonetrade. Still looking for new ideas on how to do this (think amazon, gmail, discover, fedex). Thank you everyone, keep up the good work!

Most of these designs are really cool and look great, but when I look at the logos I don't get the sense of trading (moving something from one entity to the next) that I see clearly in #1 and # 7 / # 12 etc. That's one of the main things I'm looking for out of the logo, and the main reason I have chosen the top 5 entries. The entries that use arrows, or some form of pointing from one entity to the next, to show this concept are the ones I like the best. Please keep this in mind when designing and submitting your entries - thank you everyone for your entries, they all look great! (I'll give more personalized feedback on the individual designs later today)

I really appreciate all of the entries I've gotten so far. In these last couple days, I'm really looking forward to someone thinking a little more outside the box for a cool way to show a trading experience within the logo. I'm not sure the best way to do that, but hoping maybe someone else with a more creative mind than mine could help! Maybe it's incorporating more into the word Sonetrade (instead of just replacing one letter with a symbol), maybe's it's less of an abstract emblem. I'm very pleased with the entries everyone has given so far, but still waiting for that 'WOW' moment!

Thank you again to everyone for all the wonderful entries. I have gotten an incredible amount of entries based around the main concept I'm striving for, which is showing the process of movement from one entity to the next within a closed loop, like a trade of items happening between multiple people. #55 did a great job of showing this concept with only two arrows, but thereby creating the letter 'S'. kodoqijo also did this with #27 and #44, but it looked more like a yin-yang type symbol and less of an 'exchange' between the two sides of the symbol, which is what Sonetrade is all about. Thanks again to everyone who is submitting entries, I'm looking forward to this last day of judging.

Thank you for all the wonderful last minute entries. For everyone that submitted nice new entries involving 2 arrows (#90, #98, #83, #97, #82, #105, #86) I'm wondering if you have any variations of what you submitted involving 3 or more arrows. One of the cool things about sonetrade that we want to try to show if we can is that more than 2 people can be involved in a single trade at the same time. I ranked all of the designs that I do like with 2 arrows, just wondering if we can get anything cool out of them with 3+ arrows / exchanged elements. Thank you!

Thank you for all of the late entries, and to everyone who has been submitting entries all week long. You're making this a very difficult contest to judge and rank, and I'm sure it will take me some time to make my final decision. You're all very talented and I'm not sure how I'm going to pick just one! I'm trying to give as much feedback as I can but I know we're running out of time - looking forward to any more entries coming in these last 45 minutes.
