I'm finally back from holiday and wanted to finalise you as the winner (YAY!!) but wasn't sure if I can message you after this so thought I'd let you know we love the many variations of this design so was tough to choose this colour scheme and the one that's on white background with colour.

Take care and thanks for being so responsive to our design comments.
It seems that what your friend means by "stand alone graphic element" is a logo with a layout like this. This is good too. However, my focus in the previous design was to create a logo that was suitable for use as a badge/sign, because logos for places or buildings will usually be applied as such. But of course it doesn't rule out the possibility of using graphic elements only / icons only because what I do is only integrate text with icons.
Hi,
Thank you very much for your rating and feedback. I really appreciate it.
Responding to your comment about elements being too "busy", yes it might be true that if you look at it in detail it looks a bit busy, I'm thinking about readjusting the spacing between the lines. However, during the creation process, for some reason, I thought this composition was the most appropriate when seen as a complete logo. That's what I think.
Furthermore, this logo can actually be applied stand alone (icon only). I'll try to send it as a reference.
I like the colour combination, image is quirky, a little mysterious. The logo also looks like a train station sign which is appropriate given its location.
Thank you for giving comments! I'm just trying to describe something based on your briefing and the imagination I have. But I was also surprised to see "surprised faces" on the building to the left :D . I swear to God it wasn't something I did on purpose, haha

I like this one. Its a bit busy and I would prefer a graphic element that can stand alone from the text though. Possibly a different font?

Variations on pink?

“This is ok but it wont scale well - very busy and the graphic wont stand alone.”

This is where I landed, it has a community feel, suggesting a place to gather and I like the colour palate 😃

The buildings won’t be very high and I feel like the building on the left has a face?!! Haha
