What We Do
We are an international network of seasoned software professionals passionate about software excellence. We want to serve as a forum for sharing ideas, information, and mutual support. We want to appeal to young software developers so that they can learn more about best engineering practices for creating quality software.
Industry
Color Preferences
Cool colors, blues and greens perhaps some geometric shape. Also, it must have a professional look.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Logo should be small enough to be used in Presentations, Letterhead, business cards, etc.
Note that we really like the "Fox + SEA" logo (selected in the Visual Inspiration section).
Other ideas that might work:
A brass ring outline could vaguely suggest a portal and be a cool sea themed but also an understated symbol of excellence.
Sea motif (spyglass or periscope, blue or teal colors)
Banyan tree (that people gather under)
Rowing team that shows people working together
The attached SEA logo idea is meant to abstractly represent a red-orange sunrise over a sea surface in blue (serving as an underscore or dividing bar), incorporating our SEA abbreviation in large letters, and spelling out our full name under the divider line (a sea in our case).
We would like to be able to use elements of the logo. So, if the attached SEA logo sketch was the “full” logo, we could readily create variants. Two examples of this come to mind; (1) we could use just the SEA with the orange marks (representing the sun) to be all one line for a header. (2) we could use the orange marks alone to add to (or merge with) the word based logos of other groups that wish to be affiliated with our organization (see the attached Atlanta SPIN logo for example).
