Hi! Thanks for submitting this logo! Without the context of your first entry, we are afraid if viewers would understand that there are two people joining together since it's not as clear with the gear. However, we like the incorporation of the gear to bring in a bit more of the engineering context. Any way to better integrate the gear while still keeping the "in touch" "friendly" feel?

Sorry, the comment above is for logo entry #4.

Hi! Thanks for submitting this logo! Without the context of your first entry (logo entry #2), we are afraid if viewers would understand that there are two people joining together since it's not as clear with the gear. However, we like the incorporation of the gear to bring in a bit more of the engineering context. Any way to better integrate the gear while still keeping the "in touch" "friendly" feel?

For logo entry #18, we like the concept of the half beaker, half caliper and that this logo has a very distinct image that we hope to be able to use independently of the words in the future. However, is there another object we could consider using instead of a star? We realize the star helps to hammer home the letter "A"; however, we're not sure of the star tie in otherwise. Any other objects that might work?

Hi,

As the logo tournament winds down, we have a couple of requests we'd like to see for your entry #4. We like the visual of the flask/gear and the symbolism of the two people. However, without seeing entry #2, it is a bit harder to see the two people symbolism due to the gear. Is there a way to keep the gear while making the two people a little more apparent?

Also, is there a way to build in some "Asian" element into the logo? It doesn't have to be a globe like the other logos but it could be something else that symbolizes Asian. Ideally, some kind of Eastern / Western cultural unity.

Thanks and we look forward to the awesome end result!

Hi,

SASE just wanted to let you know that your design is out top design. We look forward to working with you to finalize entry #4. We are quickly gather together as a team and will be providing some final feedback for the design.

In the mean time, can you try:
1. a couple different fonts with the horizontal part of the "A". We'd like to see how the logo design can work with some various font styles.
2. Can we see one version where the flask/gear is made with a Chinese "brush stroke" design. We're not sure if we will ultimately want this but we'd like to see what this might look like.

Thanks and congrats again!

Hi Murat,

Thanks for the revisions! We like the font in version #141 - currently ranked #1.

A few things we'd like to try on this version:
1. Can we play with the letter "A" to somehow bring to life the Asian aspect of our organization? It doesn't have to be blatant or crazy. It could be subtle. Maybe color, angle, etc.

2. Can we make the "Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers" either bigger or bolder? It might be hard to read on a business card.

3. Can we have the top of the flask flare out a little bit? We've gotten a couple comments that the icon might look a little like a phallic symbol. So we want to try and avoid this. Just a slight flare at the top. A link to a sample flask is below.

4. Can we see a version that doesn't have the color gradient just to see what it'll look like in printing.

Thanks!
SASE

Hi Murat,

My apologies, I meant that we liked the colors of 142 not 141. Sorry! Can you add in the same lip in 153 into 142?

For the letter A, maybe something along the lines of what "Fontasia" does for its A? See link below for an example: http://www.fontspace.com/category/asian. I'd like to see one where we make it look very Asian and then another one where we make it very subtle.

Hope this helps!

Agree that 161 looks really good. I've send it out to the rest of my team for their feedback. Will update once I hear back.

Hi Murat,

I just conducted a quick survey amongst our members and 161 might be a little too overly Asian. Is there a way to tone down the Asian a little bit? Maybe a version that there's a subtle hint that we're an Asian group but not extremely overt. Does this make sense?

Thanks!

i think i got it. i used the original font in #4 for clean look, but i combined "A" with #161's best parts which are the middle sword swoosh and the upper tail ( #168 , #169 , #170 , #172 )

Hi Murat,

Sorry for not getting back to you! So, I got final feedback from my team. =)

1. We want to use the icon in #159.
2. We want to use the font and colors for SASE from #142. (All blue font, the letter "A" in the same font and color).
3. the words "Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers" in bold like in icon #159. Can we see a version where the font is the same blue as in SASE and one version where the color is green like in the Icon?

Thanks!
