#84 the icon reminds me of a computer game, quake? #83 is better, i wouldnt mind if the icon was more abstract and perhaps more part of the entire logo (I am not sur I can elaborate on that...)
#85 the idea is fine but it too much "movie making" and not enough photography - I dont make movies Perhaps you can do something with pictures/images og a pixelated version of those?
I like #86, as you can see from the ranking, could you try elaborating that one? I am not quite sute what I want you to do but you are moving in the right direction...
The sub text could be placed above snowscan and the icon could be changed...
The idea with #135 is good but it is a bit old fashioned with a polaroid picture I asked my white (the best user test) if she could see what the icon in #86 was illustrating, she could not. going down the road of #135 would help, I think.
#143 is not bad at all, but I am afriad that the icon will look af bit too much as a fire/flame/torch
Please do not use reflections below the logo - I know it is web 2.0 but is is soo difficult to use i real life :)
Thanx for the feedback, I have done the variations once again. I think your wife is right....giving a subtle feel of photography will be fine... Do check the revisions
#137 is better (you are fast) an idea... what if we take #137 and make the icon look more til a piece of paper (picture) whit square corners and parhaps wawing a bit so it is not so 2D
I like the idea of #139, it has some coolness about it. I would like to see something to make it more elegant... but keeping some of the playfulness and youth - is that possible?
Though I would like to signal that I am young and creative and all that, I also need to signal some elegance and style (what clients are looking for in their photos). Perhaps the icon should be more elegant without getting it too detailed and perhaps the text should be grey?
Regarding #139 could you also try to change the font (not only the colour) to something more classic/elegant? I am told something like Bodoni i classic, but I will leave that up to you
thanks Can you make the text on #161 same as on #157 (font and colour) Could you also try #161 with the sub text actually below "snowscan"
I am thinking it looks good, but at the same time I am perhaps missing a bit of the "photography" element in this design... I am not sure how to put it and I am not sure if it is a problem... just my thoughts... Thanks for your time
In my view the photography element is very much there as these are all abstract representation of pictures and photographs. What are your views on this...do tell me Submitting the variations Thanx
three things I would like to try with #182 1. make the pictures/squares more random where they get smaller 2. take the sub text and move it below snowscan, but let it span the entire word snowscan 3. different font - not far from the present
Could you take a look at #314 - the concepts of using a framing or part of it could be good, perhaps around the logo or besides it. Not that it should look old fashioned but I think you get the idea...
Submitting some variations with lens... Thanx for keeping my designs on top ranks for a long time, i think thats the inspiration for most last moment entrants. Anyways i am glad that i inspired so many designers with my work.
