hi dasx...welcome to the tourney! this is really outta the box ...im digging...but there are others (founders who need to vu...so i cant guarantee it will stay in this position -- i assume that is an outline of a cloud... i wouldn't mind that part being a bit more obvious ..... anyway thnks for joining us! -D
thanks for the feedback. Im still trying to work this out. Need to find a balance between the fingerprint and the cloud so both read together quickly. I'm not there yet.
the palm-hand-cloud concept is cool... one suggn... the finger lengths shld be more authentic... at minimum the pinkie should b shorter - all i ask is that the lengths are true to a real hand....thank U. it's very cool
conceptually, i like 40 - but the fingers chopped off makes me shudder a bit (i've seen to many horror movies i guess)... putting the cloud in your hand or at your fingertips safely... that is the part that kinda comes across......but not strongly enuff. -d
Hi AndoniaPR, thanks for the great feedback. Mostly I am posting concepts right now, so some of them will need a bit of refinement. Will post some updates later today.
The cloud in hand could be an interesting idea if I can find a good way to communicate whats in my head very simply.
we love ur work so far, but no one cared for the fonts uv been using. I know we are not supposed to reference others, but our top five are reflective of how we like that way skyepass looks...
generally, we think it shouldn't be so wiiiiiiiiide ....we need it to be less so.... and more internetty....
Sorry for the delay. I will step out of the color box and give some options on fonts as well. A simplification on the # of lines in the cloud might help bring it to a less loud place :). I will try it.
I am so sorry to sound like a font snob :) You can of course see a version in that font, its not really a problem except personal to me. Its so popular, I just wanted to present some options first. If I cant win you over with an option, ill certainly do it for you.
I can try a few more for you but I feel like I’m shooting in the dark a bit. Strong and simple I can certainly do and the colors can be easily configured after we find a font you like. I will wait a bit to see what feedback you get. Maybe some more direction might come out of it.
Hi again, since we are in Judging mode only the first ranked can submit revisions. But it seems like you may be changing direction and moving away from the cloud so now I'm not sure what to do :)
I do have some new ones but I cant submit them in my current position.
We not supposed to be speaking outside of LT at all :). Its meant to deter people from making back door deals in order to win. Things like offering to do free work or copying someone else's design. Against the rules.
If you want to switch so I can submit and then switch back to denzu's first rank. Thats ok.
#151 Yes I am customizing the font so thats its unique. On #129, the font is Handel Gothic, very clean with a bit of a tech feel.
1. the url is helvetica medium and I it can come up a touch bigger. Also at smaller sizes the url can be resized. I will show you that in a few moments.
I like the flat bottom because it sits nicely in the slot between the "k" and the last "s" and is slightly off center. I'm really trying to ride the fence between the cloud and print. I tried a few of them and the rounded bottom pushed it more heavily to the print and the I started to lose the iconic cloud feel. Except for the color it looked more like a print with the lines being so strong.
Clouds can have a flat base, thumbprints generally don't so it helped bring it back to a cloud. That was my thinking.
Hi the difference is all in the little nuances in the type. Shaving a corner or rounding an edge. I like them all. it just a matter of personal preference.
the request
"As a final request -- is there a way for the 'e' in skyepass to take on both colors ??? as the transitional "E-Commerce" character.... since the fonts are sooooo diff and the colors are too.... "
I think I understand but I'm not 100% sure. Perhaps the same weight font will do the trick. I can show a color transition as well but to introduce and communicate another idea in a subtle way may be lost on everyone but us.
