History on the Skyline resort. Opposite from what you may expect, Skyline is a section of hiking trail located in Utah that stretches the entire distance through the United States and connects the U.S. with Mexico and Canada. It was named by the indigenous people "American Indians" before the U.S. continent was discovered by the europeans. The trail was named the Skyline Trail because it travels across the top of a mountain ridge which creates the skyline. Our Ski Area is located on the same mountain as the Skyline Trail. Thus the city has nothing to do with it.

Discussion

thank you for considering my contest. As you can see, we have already started using a variation of the logo we are requesting. If you go to www.skiskyline.com you will see the font, colors and general design. The logo is the three bar shape you see. I would like to have this stylized to be bolder, a bit longer and I would also like to incorporate flight by adding a subtle wing design within the three bars/stripes. I do not want the wing to dominate or define the logo, rather it needs to compliment, be noticeable and subtle at the same time.

I am open to creative ideas that depart from our original idea. I will contact you directly if the idea looks like it has potential. If it does not I will also let you know as not to waist time.

our slogan is:

INSPIRATION INNOVATION ELEVATION

I wish all of you the best of luck.

Logo Designer
Hello,
What is the name of the font used in the logo?
Do you want to keep that font or try another one ?
Thanks, I'm waiting for a reply.

The name of the font I prefer is - REVOLUTION II - and yes please use this font. It is one thing we are certain of.

Promising talent pool, thank you for your entries. I think the elements of flight are dominant.

I like these logos, however think of the WING of a bird VS an aircraft.

#23 Nice lines, perhaps too far a departure from the original.
#7 I like the distressed look that follows the font.
#13 and #16 these are also nice, however feel like an aircraft logo. this is probably my fault whereas I didn't clearly define "Wing" as a Bird Wing until this post.'

I would like to keep the three bar design with modest changes. When a wing (bird wing) is suggested, it is to integrate it into the current logo. This may be accomplished by taking a watermark or cookie cutter approach to a single line, such as the middle line, and imposing a stamp on the line which looks like a wing. This is just a suggestion.

Good start to the contest, I truly appreciate the entries and the talent you possess.

As you can see, I am drawn to the simple shapes. I see that i need to give a better example as to what I am referring when I say stamp a bird wing into the logo. I will draw a suggestion and submit it in the next 12 hrs. Until then, I like #33 and #29. IF they were distressed, that would be closer to what we are after. with my current idea of incorporating a wing. these shapes could stay the same with a minor alteration of a subtle wing design in the shape itself. Not that the shape becomes a wing, more like a picture of a wing in the shape... I hope thats not confusing. As said, I will submit an example.

I have submitted the suggested examples in the contest brief. You may use these logos however you wish.

#53 is cool, a departure from the original intent, so i don't know how it will stand, however if the grey square was not a building but a mountain, that would get closer.

I like the simple nature of #53 and #29

Thank you for all of the entries. I have attached new files from artwork my company has dome in the past. You will see the exact wing style I am after and the application of it on the picture that says INSANE ASYLUM on it.

I would like you to apply this wing style on the original three bar design that is on my website. I will add an additional image that will get close to what I am after moments from now.

I have made the modifications I spoke of and have entered them into the Brief. Please refer to the newly uploaded images.

I would like to see if someone can emulate exactly what I have posted as visual examples.

I have reposted examples of exactly what I am after. I would like to see if someone is able to copy it exactly. I Own the logo I am asking you to copy and have full rights. I am asking you to copy it because I need you to have a baseline to add to. The Baseline is the exact example I have provided. You will see I have provided three. Chose whichever one you wish.

Staying in the same genre, I'd like to see some wing variations. I like what has been done with the wing in #106, I don't care for the generic distressed brush. I do want these to be distressed, try to use different brushes or other methods so they don't look like the same stamp on different locations of the logo. With that said, these should look distressed.
