Simple, classic typeface, with a subtle gel drop added to the 'g' - this could be varied to match the various product colours.

Similar concept - this time the g has a little pearl of oil - a reference to skin care and engineer

Striking orange tab, easily recognisable, and adaptable for all kinds of packaging.

Geometric style font echoes engineer - and its outlined which represents the skin

hi husk - tks for your designs, how u can come up with such varied designs is amazing! appreciate the thought that you have put in - i hope this feedback helps u revise your designs ...

#19 unfortunatly this design wld not be suitable to put on products (say for example an eye gel), it is important the the designs can be scaled down

#13, #14, #15 i like the idea of the orange block - very eye catching, however - this sometimes doesn't look premium when printed onto packaging, it is best to keep to white on black, or black on white for example (screen printing will be used for the labelling on my products and big blocks of print can look cheap) ...

the font on $13, #11 and #10 is a bit too simple - i know u have jazzed it up a bit with the oil (and great insight that you can change the colour for each product ... only thing is that the reason why i have used engineer is to get pr off the fact that i am a chemical engineer that have desgined the product, not so much a petrochemical engineer on a oil rig ... the logo should look expensive and not worry men that they are going to end up with an oily face, so if you could think of another way of grabbing attention that wld be awesome!) .... i think that the font has to be changed a bit so to get good shelf presence i think the logo needs to jump out more at the consumer.

#14 font all thou expensive looking is not masculine enough, and i think looks a bit too much like kenneth cole brand.

I hope that this feedback helps - i have tried my best to be constructive - i think u are the best designer that has submitted work so far, so i hope that this feedback helps to refine the designs, cheers and tks again - cant wait to see nxt revision!

Thanks for the feedback - always welcome ... I understand more where you're coming from now ... have a look at this one ... I thought I'd introduce some numbers so people see the engineer in terms of chemistry - this is just a concept at the moment, if you like it, I can develop it further.

you are so creative!! ive been looking at your concept for the past 10minutes trying to work out what to write, the numbers make the logo look interesting, but im worried that they may confuse my target market, or worse make someone think that the proof wasnt checked and so random numbers have ended up printed on the packaging ... i get where you are going with the numbers (4yrs of chemical engineering will do that to you), but i dont think the men who buy my brand will get it, and the last thing i want to do is confuse them ...i dont want to discourage you thou as i like the way you have thought outside the box, lots of kudos for that, as a non-creative person - i very much appreciate your ideas ...

now - when i remove the numbers im left with a simple logo that hits on the things im looking for:
* is expensive
* is simple/minimilist
* is masculine (in a refined way)
* can be used on product packaging (and will also look good on websites, print etc etc)

I think without the numbers it becomes just a bit too simple ... im still going to rank this logo highly as i definetly connect with it, but would love to see and look forward to what else you can come up with ....

and btw - dont withdraw your designs!!! ive got my test market looking at this site daily, they are giving me feedback as well and double checking my decisions (SKIN ENGINEER is very much a target market/client/customer driven business,)... so please keep them up, especialy #58 as i want to see if the test market get/understand the whole numbers concept - tks husk!

Yes, you're right - the numbers are a bit random, and without them, we are left with something quite plain. With this design, I've introduced the colour, and been more adventurous with the typeface ... I think its subtle enough not to be dominant, but still contemporary and masculine.

Glad you like those - the difference with this one is very subtle, but you'll see he e's and g are closed

hi husk - how u doing? i seem to keep coming back to your designs for some reason - i get pulled away but then i come back - dont really have anything to add, just wanted to check in + let you know i still really like #88, #89, #90! i cant think of a way they can be improved - but if you want to have a go, pls go for it!

I know you're not after any kind of symbol - but I did try a little drop coming out of the 'r' at the end - looked a bit like a tap I thought - anyway, I thought it looked better without, but if you think something like that might work, let me know ... in the meantime I'll try and refine what we've got.

Oh, there's another issue - there are a lot of similar designs cropping up - people will start to claim the right to having put the skin in orange first and that sort of thing, and there is a possibility I would get kicked out if someone decides to challenge it, so I don't want to upload any variations that might lead to that, even if the format was mine to begin with.

Just to try something not orange - and introduce a symbol

ok - no dramas ... understand that seeing 2 out of my 10 were removed last nite, i think that i should have a say in those logotournament mediation meeting/votes - i mite put a thread abt that when it finishes. anyway - i cant help but being a bit more loyal to those who have gone thru the process with me, of course im open to new concepts and thats awesome (Best designer wins) but, personally i dont think its right that random people come in at the last minute and tweak designs everyone else has worked hard on, so try not to stress abt that (i do my best to be fair)

tks for your revisions -

#221 and #222 is a bit too simple ... i like what you have tried to do with the asterix, but agree its not working - and you are right i wldnt be a fan of the tap dripping off the r.

tks for having an extra think abt it thou ... i still like the ranked one u did best out of the designs you worked up; cld you please try doing it all black on white background, white on black, and light grey on dark grey ... im trying to get a sense of what it will look like on black/white letterhead/ and single printed colours on different coloured packaging .. tks!

haha - no, i havent forgotten! ... basicaly a lot of guys love your design, ive worked out (that as i have known all along), that a lot of time they just want something that works, is kool looking and readable ... #88 hits all that ... the problem with #88 thou, is that it polarises guys! im finding those that are ok with their more feminine side totally get it and are big fans, whilst the normal guys need something a bit more brash, that says masculinity a bit more - its a tough one ...

i like how you have tried to make it a bit more innovative adding the little triangles like on #581, it takes it up a bit. the only thing im struggling with is the strength that #88 says, it says kool, modern, innovative - but it doesn't say to masculine - i like how you have tried to make it bold to take the masculinity up a notch, but i still think that doesnt do it ...

unless something changes in the nxt couple of hrs, your design will rank highly - it hits on everything i want, i know its simple - but that was the brief, and you fulfilled it! i just have to have a final think about all the applications before i make my final rank - good luck!
