Hello,
sorry about my late entry to your contest, i hope you are still considering new entries!
i decided to go with lowercase because to me it speaks more of confidence and class than using all caps (all caps makes me think LYNX and BRUT) I also decided to stick with the colours of charcoal, white and orange because i think they do a great job of adding some masculinity without detracting from the class.
the typeface itself i chose because its modern and smooth, stylish but again, still masculine.
any feedback would be great, im really excited about this one because it seems like there will be alot of exposure involved =)
thanks!
bugy,

PS what part of aus are you from?

another simple solution, plenty of spacing to give the text room which adds to the upperclass feel. This one has much more of an expensive feel than my first entry i think, let me know which one you prefer =)

hi bugy - im in sydney :) nice to meet u!tks for your design, yup - always up for looking at new concepts!

am keeping an open mind, unfort thou #187 i just dont connect with, i think its because its a bit dull and not very inspiring, ive put so much energy into SKIN ENGINEER and its a business that it just has to go places - and i want people to look at my logo and see that energy (not hyper - but just a good energy feel about it), the current typefont doesnt show it for me, it does hit on things in the brief but i think i need something thats a bit more exciting - SKIN ENGINEER is the best formulated products for men to ever hit the market, but it needs to compete with more established brands and have a real shelf presence so that people buy it - ... unfort i dont think that #187 gets there.....

however - #186 i get where you are going with it, i totally hear you on the grey being more sophisticated and caps being a bit lynx/brut feel about it (but i guess its the caps that gives the logos i like a bit of energy abt it) ... i do like this one as it reads expensive, this would be perfect for older guys 45-65 i think, but because im targeting 25-35, i need something that is a bit more modern looking; i do like how you ahve extended the k, its a nice touch ... is it possible to try to make #186 a bit more modern looking ... i guess a key distinction is that i dont really want to have a classy brand (that too me is a bit old school), i want to have an expensive innovative niche brand - i know its hard as modern doesnt equal expensive a lot of the time, but am trying to hit a balance .... i hope this helps u in revising your design!
