When I think of FUZE, I somehow imagine spark, and used the combination between red and orange (both colors requested by client) to somehow inspire that in the image.
This definitely is moving towards our ideal logo. The use of red and orange is a good concept, it adds depth to the color. The design is very web 2.0, but too much of a twitter or skype feel. We definitely want a fun logo at but it also needs to feel professional and upscale. The other element we have yet to see is something that makes you think "They are fusing all the web elements I need together." I hope this provides some direction. Thank you.
I'm liking the topography you have going and that you fused the FU and the ZE together. We would like to see an option where you fuse the UZ together also so all letters are connected for the word FUZE.
As for the emblem, what we are really looking for is a strong icon presence. The star is fine for accent but we need a really brand-able icon that will go to the left of the logo. Something that shows "fusing of elements of the web" or just the sense of fusing so it helps drive our name. Make sense?
Where I like the shapes, they don't convey what we do or what we are. We provide a CMS (Content Management System) that is fully integrated and user friendly. We would love to see some ideas on how we can use "editing" icons to further our look. An example of a meaningful icon would be: http://www.joomla.org/
As far as ideas for what we do would be symbols of editing (pencil on paper). We need for a good idea to come across to convey that we allow users to build their own websites, edit them, publish them, create blogs, photo galleries, contact forms, create an online store and so on. Think of imagery that would convey easy editing, fusing of elements, one stop shop for web based needs.
Also please connect the F to the U with the top horizontal line from the F rather then the second one. Make sense?
I get the idea, I just thought you might wanted to see more like an abstract representation of integration (three circles coming together and merging to another color in the center, or the four pieces of the black square)
Although you were more or less specific on what you wanted to see as an icon, I still wanted to show you this sketch for "integration". What I want to say with this image is "elements to your site". Please let me know what do you think.
I am liking the abstract icons you are bringing to the table, but I also need to see "real" elements used for an icon such as pencil on paper. Look at this logo so you can understand when I say I need a brand able icon. http://www.speaklight.com/ If I can figure out more examples of what I mean by "real" elements I will let you know. That is the area that I needed Logo Tournament for was to help brainstorm ideas for "real" elements for our icon. The topography isn't so much the focus, b/c I can change that however I wish once I have selected a winning logo. So if you can move away from the abstrat and heavy web 2.0 and focus more on the real elements and how LightCMS has done their logo. We don't want to use light as our logo as they did, I just wanted you to see how their icon helps promote the name of Light.
To provide some further guidance I really like this one: https://logotournament.com/contests/tutorsbox This have the right text feel along with perfect imagery. Rather then a sqaure root sign on the box have something else. I would love to see your spin on this.
Here I have an interpretation of your suggestion. The box is not quite completed, just the upper part that shows it's open, and the bottom part. Feedback is very appreciated.
Sorry for the delay in feedback. We are really liking your style and feel you know best what we want. We just want to tweak what you have done and we'll be done. If you look at #17 we would like to see the pencils to be a little more defined as pencils. Here is an example, but don't do exactly this, just wanted to give you an idea. http://logopond.com/img/featured_bart.png
Also with the tool box, could you make an option that is less pointed and more square like the Tutor Box I sent you. Also scrap any idea of putting images on the side of the box. Make a cool looking box with the words coming out like Blog, Web, Store, Media. Also would like to see an option with images representing those words coming out of the box.
Thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it. I will do a couple variations taking into account your comments and post them back for your perusal.
What about this? I was thinking about the idea of the words coming out of the box, and I thought that maybe if we use words the image might get too crowded, and would take weight from the actual name of the product. I can still submit something in that vibe for you to see.
I'm really liking #97. Can we try making the top grey pencil a computer cursor. That may help tie in the fact we are fuzing the web and editing capabilities. Any other ideas along this thought path are welcome.
