Simply formed letter "B." Circles also symbolize two people...Mr. & Mrs. B.

Hi Pip!
#59 Love your twist.
Great clearness.
Love the fact you did something entirely else than the other contestants - well done for standing out doing your own thing. However, like this it looks a bit like a golf course on an olive grove though.
We need something that stands for all areas of our business:
The Olive products, the natural skin care, the Yoga and Yurt accommodation. But the logo should leave from for interpretation.
However we do not want to look like a shop that sells buddha statutes and gemstones and little cheap things.
Excited to see more of you !

Looking forward to see it , because we cannot keep the golf logo in the final !

We looked at our screen with the top 10 we have now - and think yours does stand out through its simplicity yet boldness and clear lines. Please give us a logo that represents us !

Excited to see from you!

Thanks

I wanted to keep with my original concept of a simply formed "B" with 2 circles to symbolize Mr. and Mrs. B. I think this one does that while incorporating the healthy aspect of your business with a more stylized leaf (no more looking like a golf course).

I forgot to mention this one. It's simply..."B" =)

#169 we are not quite there just yet. leaf reminds us more of wine.
Maybe introduce other colors for the B? / dots of the B?

Client
somehow the leaf is wrong. But the version#167 is too simple. Not standing for us.
Maybe olive leaf if using a leaf at all - maybe there is something else???
Regarding colors - see our general comment on it !
Thanks a million

Olive leaf incorporated into the "B."

#198 nice effect with the reflection. but we would prefer the 4 colors which we have indicated in the main post.
Thanks pipGraphix!

#189 - hello, would it be possible to see other colours - similar to the other top selected logos?? Thanks so much

Here are a few more =)

In regard to your comment for #189, are you requesting to see additional entries with reflections (entries with different colours being used)?

Client
Hello Pip!
Yes - that is right .
WE think in green it definitely looks most harmonious and if we only had an olive grove #189 would definitely be it, full stop. We think it would look great on the product lanes , too - but it must work for the other company aspects yoga and yurt as well. So thanks for the colors. The green olive leaf must under no circumstances resemble a cucumber - Mrs B has a heavy allergy... so green color in #288 and #285 is not right. #198 is too bright - too playful - more for technology industry, especially with the glow.

Can you please try the 4 colors not separated in the dots so straight and symmetrical - maybe it can be a swirl or mosaic ? A more natural approach.

Another alternative is trying just the shades of the olive green and purple for the icon and the font, please? We could then focus on Olivegreen and purple as our two main colors. The orange (skin) and blue(sky/sea) came in to distinguish the 4 different parts of the company, but maybe the logo can live without. However, having the Logo JUST in Olivegreen would not be enough twist - there are already a few olive groves on Waiheke and we need to distinguish ourselves from them. Hope this helps - please let me know if you want me to direct you differently.
Thanks a million
Mrs B
PS:I also posted a general comment a few minutes ago, please see that as well.

Mr. & Mrs. B-
With the reflections and shading added to the circles, this one looks great on a natural background (you mentioned brown paper).
I will get to work on the requests from your earlier post.

#306 / #307 - look much better. Can't wait to see how you integrate the idea behind the 4 parts of the business... (simple text in between two lines under the logo) or something more creative??
Kind regards

Hi Pip,
#307like the darker natural background. Green still looks the most harmonious in the concept...Purple writing does not fit in like that unfortunately. #309The colored option is still to technical for me.

#307 - what do you think is the best color to be the background for our labels?
Somehow Mrs B and I think this doesn't have the energy?? Do you have any better suggestions - I know this was mine, but not sure if it works...

We still think that the total concept of what we offer is not 100% communicated - any ideas on how to bring the long brief of Mrs B (in general comments ) alive??

Take care and kind regards

Here it is on a rich eggplant background. I've also added the wording, "Hand Made by Mr. & Mrs. B..."

I've aimed at keeping the logo general so you will be able to use it in all aspects of your business(es); providing the opportunity to add or remove product lines and/or services with ease.

I will continue to submit entries and hope to get closer to what you're looking for in your logo.

Super - thank you!
You are right - we will use the "hand made by...." only on the oil and skin care products.

#424 , #423 Really good direction.
Could you try the following: Around the circle surrounding the icon - place the the text: Olives & Co., Natural Skin Care, Yoga, Yurts,
And then Simply B as per #375 underneath. (straight as per #375) not curved around the circle..

OK??

Building on from our above comments - we would like to see it with a background color similar to entry #351 and with purple font... possible?

Hello - just to let you know that the twirly, frilly "stuff" / ornaments is not a direction we wish to go in. Thank yo Pip!
We are looking forward to the revised " circle" logo

Thanks for letting me know. I thought it might be fun to make your "Simple B" not so simple.
...off to work on the circle logo.

#435 - purple needs to be less dark.
#375 - could you please encircle the icon make it a bit bigger and write the text: Olives & Co., Natural Skin Care, Yoga &Yurts underneath - separated by a thin straight line?
30 mins ? Possible??

Kind regards

Oh - and the swirly separators around the outer rim between the Yurt - Yoga and so on - could you please take them away and just have round dots or something SIMPLE !
Cheers!!!

Client
Sorry for the confusion.
What we were looking for was the following:
1. Less dark purple = done
2. the text: place the the text: Olives & Co., Natural Skin Care, Yoga, Yurts, UNDER the words " Simply B" - separated by a thin line. (No need for the Handmade...)
3. The icon enclosed in the circle made bigger and boarder of the circle a little bit thicker

Clear?? Sorry again for the confusion!!

Client
.. and 4th , the swirly things are replaced by dots or something (to separate the word: Olives & Co, Skincare etc..)

Client
#442 - with a single dot in between the words around the circle?? Please??

Client
CONGRATULATIONS!
We love your design and really see it moving on a little bit further.

What Mr and Mrs B feel right now (probably only a fraction of the adrenaline you have!!) is:
1. We can refine the font / layout around the circle including the spacing
2. Look at writing (with a line as separation under Simply B) -Waiheke Island, New Zealand
3. Not sure which is better in terms of colour of the circle and the Simply B (white / olive green etc)
4. Background (purple / "whitish")??

Would love to see what you would do if you had a 24 hours (vs 20 mins!!) to refine - and then perhaps we can challenge and build?

Does that sound like a good idea?

Please let us know if this is ok, or you have another suggestion to take this successfully forward!

Happy Smiles from:

Dear Peggy,
Thanks for your patience and giving wes wow the chance to finalize his design.
#456 - We would love to have your opinion on the direction we are going... I think the idea of putting the words around the circle was our idea - but reflecting upon this, I think we are cluttering / diminishing the power of simplicity...?? Again, would love your thoughts.
Perhaps the simple , pure iconic b (as you have had previously) and the text below??? Sorry to confuse the issue... happy for your thoughts before you make any changes>??? What would you do if you had the total freedom to express yourself with the current design??

kind regards

Good morning Mr. & Mrs. B,

Based upon your most recent comments (thank you), I have uploaded 3 clean/uncluttered designs:

#466 keeps the purple & green circles around the icon "B," and it also includes the 4 aspects of your business underneath "Simply B." Going forward, it would be very easy to add additional services/product lines as needed.

#467 Same as above, but with the circles removed...simplicity at its finest =)

#468 Also same as above, but I added "Waiheke Island, New Zealand" in an unobtrusive manner, within the outer circle.

*** In all of these entries, I removed the line under "Simply B" and used a lighter shade in writing the 4 aspects of your business. I think this goes a long way to make "Simply B" stand out. I also used ovals, instead of circles, as the dots between the words...to resemble olives.

I look forward to your comments.

Kind regards,
Peggy B.

#469 - hmmmm, looks really great!
- Could you please remove the word "natural" from skin care and put a "&" between yoga and yurts. Will this enable you to slightly increase the size of the text?

Also:
If you could do anything you wanted from a pure designer wish perspective - what would you do?

You happy with the result?

Thanks!

With the changes you requested. With the removal of "Natural" the font is now larger/easier to read.

Since you asked for my perspective, here it is:

I really like #469 and #470. I think clean/simple is the way to go (less is more) and I also like that the wording is contained within the circle. I think it's important you have room to make alterations in case you expland your business...or even change the business location.

I don't know that I'd do anything different with the icon ("B"). I initially created it in a very simplistic manner in keeping with the name of your company. Through your continued feedback, I've already been given the opportunity to "do what I would do." I have given the B a bit of whimsy with the addition of the olive leaf and the gradient coloring & reflections added to the circles. All along, the circles were meant to represent Mr. & Mrs. B, in addition to forming the letter "B" in a simplistic approach (again, in keeping with the name of your company). I think the icon stands out and is memorable (both in its present state, and in its most simplistic versions: #189 & #167). So, I think it's a matter of your preference to have the "B" with or without gradients/reflections.

When I uploaded #369, I said "Aha! I think that's it." So, I was pleased to see you move it to first place over the others I uploaded this morning.

I think this will also lend itself to being altered slightly for use on a darker background. In fact, I will post this comment and make slight changes to #470 to show it on the dark purple background.

Thanks again for your continued feedback.

Kind regards,
Peggy

--- Hi Peggy, this is new from the main comment area ---

Dear Logo Designers,
Just to give you all an update on where we are:
We have sent our top 3 designs to around 30 women we know to get their feedback.
We should have this in the coming two days latest.

I guess during this time of reflection, you too may see areas where a little tweak here and there may make a big difference...?

If this is the case, please let us know and we will enable you to do so.

Kind regards and thanks so much for your continued support!

#470 - this still remains the best version in our opinion.
However, we have got to say that we received several comments from friends that viewing the logo at 90 degrees lets you see an unhappy face...
We didn't see this until we were told... and now, I am afraid, this is all we see :-(
I don't know if it is fixable???

What do you think?

Kind regards
