Thanks for the comment, Janine!
I've been looking at several vintage ads from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s these last couple of days. What always stands out to me is the sense of balance they provide. they all possess a very measured, purposeful way to present a message. The graphics tend to be geometrical in shape; even things such as human faces tend to have a definite geometrical shape in there, along with some not-so-obvious angles. It's a very clean look they present, love those clean lines leading the eye to where it needs to be.
You'll notice with my latest submission I've included a girl who's sitting on top of the emblem-style logo. I was inspired to create her as a result of seeing the Miller logo from the early 20th century. Link to the image here:

She looks very comfortable there. :) This was done to catch the eye of the viewer, make your logo memorable, and to help them linger over your name a little longer. :)
If you need me to tweak anything, please let me know. Happy to help in any way I can. Have a great day! -Jennifer
