Hi... thanks for considering my designs for your contest. Please let me know if you would like to see any changes. You can message me here by leaving a comment or you can private message me through this website.
Hi Erik: We are close to choosing your entry as our logo and I just noticed that it's possible to ask the #1 entry to make changes to the logo--is that correct, and would you be able to do so? I'm going to get some input from my partners to see if there is any suggestion for change within the consensus. It probably be in that area of color or font size. Let me know if that is possible . . .thanks in advance. Pete Jackson
It should be a cinch to put this design on any color background. It'll be easier once you know what the base color is, but I've put together a couple ideas in these revisions.
First is just a gradient like my initial submission, I just tweaked it a bit to look better on a darker background. There's not much of a change to it, so it still looks great on a white background.
On this second one I just choose a different color for each of the blocks in the graphic. This technique might be best if you plan on doing a lot of work in vinyl. That way you can have control over color based on the availability of the materials. Source the material colors you like... then make those a standard for the logo.
I like the dark background.....however, any suggestions on what to do for stationery or when using a white background? We are going to use your logo (so, you win!), but once we have access to it, can we tweak the design when using different backgrounds? I'm not a graphic design guy, so your last explanation is a little over my head. We do like the second one better of the two #114. I'm here and waiting to hear what you have to say. Not sure how much time I have to select the winner or if anything can be tweaked after the selection? This is my first use of the tournament.
this is identical to #114 except with dark text. You can have both, and yes it can be tweaked later on as well. Since these are vector graphics, it's quite easy to change color.
so how does that work. . . . does it matter which one I select as winner? And, are you saying that our graphic designer/signmaker can change the colors? Sorry, but I'm not that familiar with how the rights to your design works. Unless you have a reason for me to select the 116 as the winner, I'm going to go with 114 after I hear back from you. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
No, it doesn't make a difference which one you select. I like #114 the best too.
You're entitled to a logo on a dark and light background, so I'll get both to you. Yes, your designers or sign makers can make any changes to it you like. You'll own full rights to the design to do with as you please. You'll receive a regular hi-res JPG from me, as well as my source vector file, which is based on math rather than dots in a grid, so it's infinitely scalable and change-able.
