Hello CatchingShadows... Thank you so much for entering SCIP'S logo contest. I really appreciate your time.

You just made my job more difficult with this entry... I love it... Clean, sharp, professional, SCIP at the "front and center"... colors are very complementary of one another, and the house further emphasizes community. #27 Immediately went to my top 5!

In looking at #28, with the smaller badge under the SCIP ribbon, I am wondering what this concept would look like if the larger background badge was removed leaving the center piece to stand alone -Perhaps making it a bit larger in size? If this makes sense to you would you mind playing around with that idea?

Hello Msaigeon!

Thank you for the nice comments and i apologize for making your job harder, i was hoping to make it easier by working with you until you're satisfied :)

Here's your revision with a little more added detail to the smaller badge. Let me know your thoughts and we can continue to work on it together.

Thank you!

I like this latest entry even more. Thank you for working with me on this. I am really looking forward to seeing this concept evolve.

I will throw this question out to you as you, as well as the other designers, have waaaaaaay more creativity than I do... I like the house within your design. What other ways could "community" be graphically illustrated? Keeping in mind, of course, making the design as clean as possible for printing (t-shirts, letterhead, etc.).

Thank you!

I would not put too much into the design to clog it up, being that we are challenged with space. That's why i added the house to try to sum it up and keep the design as clear cut and clean as possible.

I'll see if i can come up with some other revisions to further advance this concept.

Thanks again!

Mike,

Take a look at this revision. I added a few people along with a child to give that community feel.
Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks again.

Hi Anthony... That is right on. Might lose that detail on a screen print or embroidery but I can live with that... On letterhead, publications, and on the web it will look sharp.

Thank you so much for jumping on these revisions.

...On #39... with the gradient grey background that logo looks really sharp. How would it look with no background color (white only)?

Here's how #39 looks on a white background and a black and white version for embroidery and screen print. #41

I like the people enlarged but not sure on the badge in the background being so large. Still, it looks sharp and I like the "11th hour" entry.

Your vision is amazing. I like #74 and moved that over #56 for a top 5 ranking with just 3 hours to go. OH MY!!!

Well now it's time to select the winning design.

First of all, thank you so much for your time and effort. I know I am not the only logo contest you were involved with but your time spent on mine was very much appreciated. Since I completely lack any type of artistic skill, I am in awe of the work you created. Each designer has brought something significant to the judges' table... So thank you again.

Secondly, I will utilize the feedback from my board of directors to help me reach my final decision. Hopefully soon because I am anxious to start publishing the logo.

Thank you again,
Mike

Hi Anthony... I will be posting my winner shortly (it will be #63 from GoodGuy Designs). Your #74 was second.

I hope I am not breaching any contest rules or etiquette by asking you this but... before I announce I wanted to make sure I can communicate with you after announcing. Several people commented that your logo design would make an excellent challenge coin and I agree. I am not sure if you would still sell that logo to me, how much, or if that is even possible. If you are open to this can we communicate after the contest?

Thanks so much,
Mike
