Thanks for the quick ranking and most important the feedback. Believe it or not I saw this contest with only an hour or so ago. I was rushing just to get an entry or two in before the cut off. Whew! :)
Now that I have a little bit more time, I'll rework with different options. I made the carriage with the canopy down and some with the canopy up. Please let me know if you have a preference.
While the contest is active, we designers are bound by Logotournament's contract to not have outside contact. It may seem a bit stringent, but it actually makes this a better site since the playing field is kept even for all the designers. I understand that at times it may be easier to convey a thought directly in person, but unlike similar sites, the designers are, on the most part, very qualified and professional and violating a term of agreement is grounds for being removed from the site. I hope you understand. :) In the meantime please feel free to post your comments here. Also, don't worry if there is a small tweak here or there once you have chosen a winner. Direct contact and revisions can be done on a one-on-one basis, in fact it's encouraged. That's another thing that makes this site great!
also one last comment or thought for tonight, do you have any options for a horse a little more with the draft horse style, just curious, like the horses in my picture that I submitted?
Great, just let me know if there is any revisions you'd like to see. I'm always glad to help. Also, please note that on the last versions with the script fonts, I modified a few of the letters for a more custom feeling. For instance, I scaled the "S" up and trimmed a bit of the swirl (so that it does not compete too much with the carraige), I also, trimmed down a bit of the ascender on the "d" and extended the ascender on the last "h", so that the horse and carriage would have a better visual fit above the word.
On entry #31 I made the horses more robust (thicker neck, shoulder, and hindquarters as well as the flared legs. Please let me know if you would wnat to see that version on one of the previous designs, or if you prefer, I can withdraw all of them and replace with the new versions of each.
I like entry# 22, here are the changes that I would like to see. flip carriage and horses around, and take the extra little squiggly off the letter A in the word Shenandoah, please keep font same otherwise, without shadow please, also take the top down on carriage, see example on entry# 20.
OK, I made the requested change and also did a couple of options on the carriage. #35 has the groom on one side and the bride on the other. #34 bride and groom together. #33 same as #35 bur with a slight shading on the horse. Also the horse is more representative of a draft horse. I removed the appearance of two horses, since it was so subtle that no one would even notice and actually make it hard to distinguish. Let me know if you want the second horse back in. Thanks.
