I like the concept of the design, but it seems a little disconnected. The emphasis is too much on the name, Shazzle, and not necessarily the product (ShazzleMail). Also, the purple color isn't as vivid as it could be. We really want something that pops off the page, but not in a way that's over stimulating.
We are serious about getting a quality logo, so quick feedback is a must.
The revision looks great, but there are just a couple of things that stand out to us. The first is that the colors are kind of diagonal in position and make the overall design a bit of balance. Maybe you could try centering them around the round image? Another thing is that there's a large emphasis on the lock and that kind of gives the wrong idea about our company... we provide secure and confidential MESSAGES, not security in general. So, the logos ranked 1 and 2 are appealing b/c they illustrate the fact that our messages are 'locked' or in some way protected from being read.
One comment from people in my office is that the lock kind of looks like a "G" and gives the impression of Gmail... something we would definitely want to avoid.
I like #12 a lot. I think it really represents the idea of private communication well. I would play with that idea a little more.
Think about the concept as "hand delivered". That's what our service does... it transfers electronic communication directly from one person to another, without ever being copied onto a server or scanned by ANY third party. It does so securely. So not only is the message "safe" in transit, it is also sent directly from one person to another.
keeping it bold and simple, placing the speech bubble in the ear to illustrate direct contact. messages are direct. will keep working. thanks for the great feedback so far!
