What We Do
We provide towing services, roadside assistance, and private property vehicle impounding.
Industry
Automotive
Color Preferences
Green and white! Our company has an Irish theme and we prefer the two-tone color scheme and would like to stay away from any other colors (although black may be used if needed).
Our Ideas & Additional Information
1. Logo MUST have a three-leaf Shamrock.
2. Logo must say "Shamrock Towing Inc." (comma optional)
3. Would like to see "1952", "Est. 1952", or "Since 1952" incorporated into the design somewhere, but this is not 100% essential.
4. "Strong" fonts are recommended, such as varsity lettering, or the lettering used on the two pictures I am uploading. The font used on the green jacket is pretty slick.

Discussion

I uploaded a third idea I just drew up. I would like to see the shamrock set off to the left instead of in the center/background. Overlapping part of the text onto the shamrock is also okay.

#1 is a good start and made me realize the importance of the emphasis of the word "towing".

edit: I want to be clear that I'm not totally opposed to a centered or background shamrock. I only added the third image to give an idea of other types of designs I'd like to see. Maybe a shamrock in between the words "Shamrock" and "Towing"...? Keep 'em coming and thanks for the effort!

"Est. 1952" is preferred over "Since 1952" or just "1952".

The fonts used in #7, #8, #13, and #14 are too modern-looking. The general designs are pretty good though. Maybe try Rockwell Extra Bold font?

So far the best fonts used have been in #3, #15, and #18... especially #3. I do not like the font in #17 (it doesn't look "serious" enough).

I just realized that I really like the "hollow" or "block" type of lettering used in #3 and #15.

Important: We definitely need the Shamrock to have a stem and not just the three leaves!

I like the simplicity and boldness of #3.

edit: It needs a three-leaf clover and should say "Inc" not "Imc". I also prefer "Est. 1952" instead of "Since 1952".

#25 and #26: awesome design! Not what I had in mind at the beginning but I'm really digging it! These two designs have a good simple/complex ratio.

#25 and #26 have the best "feel" so far (i.e. fonts used, amount of "ink" used, ratio of green and white, boldness/thickness of the lines). I would still like to see some more horizontally-oriented designs, for example something that would look good at the top of a letterhead and other documents.

Thanks for the additional submissions. I'll be back in around three hours from now to provide some aiddtional comments.

For anyone still submitting, we definitely want something that will be easily placed on company checks, letterheads, stationary, etc. (horizontally-aligned). Circular or stamp-like designs would look good on shirts and stuff but it's not what we're shooting for this time around.

Thanks!
