Was thinking Gold to go on a burgundy website background.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
One idea I had was for a simple gold line lotus flower design. I am not stuck on this idea however. The website feel i want is similar to http://www.passagesmalibu.com. I like the feel and look as well as their logo works for me.

Discussion

To clarify, the website has a burgundy background and the text on top of the main page is gold quite similar to the one mentioned below. I want a logo that fits with this color scheme. One that speaks luxury. The word SEVA also speaks of compassion and selflessness. I am not sure how to match the idea of this with luxury.
The site is really similar to http://www.passagesmalibu.com/. Their logo manages to capture both concepts. By presenting luxury and rebirth. Please feel free to use the style and feeling of that logo(the bold lines, the swooping up. just being careful of the bird) without redoing it too closely as they are in the same field and I worry if things are too close. Thinking of what else could go in the centre area would be a good approach...a lotus flower or something that represents compassion and luxury.
Again, if someone has a totally different concept that catches attention I would love to see that. Brand recognition is important. I want to build off of the logo in advertisement.
I want SEVA to be seen as the best. The place everyone wants to go.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

I am learning that I like bold lined but also interested in other ideas. I am not keen on things that look too life like or too free flowing artistic (by that I mean I like more left to right symmetry.)
Would love to see some other stylized things: Tree of life, more lotus flower, something with the name in it, something insignia/coat of arms, something surprising that I never thought of.

Would love to see someone try to do a lotus inside a circle or arc. Kinda like in the image on this site...less banana like and more lotus flower like :)
Not sure if I should post this here or on main brief page but here it is.
Thanks everyone.

I have been asked by a couple people to provide the website address for where the logo will go.
The website is in initial mockup stage. I have attached the link below.
When I superimpose the logos on the spot at top centre it gives a good idea of what works and what doesnt. It is on this basis that I have ranked them. Some look great on here but just look a little different or dont seem to work there.

Hope this helps. Maybe should have posted this earlier but hey, its my first time doing this. ;)
