I try to keep them unique and shy away from the stereotypical logos that can dominate your industry. I also feel it needs a boldness to make it recognizable on a sign from a distance...even before the words can be read. Thin lines and words only tend to be hard to read from a distance and are proven to not "stick" in ones mind. I try to give a unique icon that invokes a memory of recognition even without the client needing to read the wordmark.
I chose elements using the "Little White Picket Fence" as it is often tied to the American Dream of home ownership
