Sego Insulation, Inc.Logo Design Contest

We're a family-owned-and-operated insulation subcontractor, providing thermal building envelope insulation (fiberglass, cellulose and polyurethane foam) for commercial and residential buildings.

Traditionally, we've used blue and yellow, or black and yellow, but we're open to new ideas. However, we will want something that is still attractive and distinctive in greyscale. Our competitors in the market use pink, green and some red/blue combinations, so we'd like to avoid those.

What we're really looking for is a re-design of our old logo, which we've been using for 28 years. The original owner sold the business to his son, so we're moving from "Ray Sego Insulation, Inc.," to just "Sego Insulation, Inc." The new owner would like to keep the Zia symbol element because of the equity we have in the existing logo, but would also like a larger and/or bolder treatment of the words "Sego" and "Insulation." We know that other insulation subcontractors across the country use a roof in their logo. We're open, but not married to, this idea-- or at least an element beyond the regional, cultural symbol.
