Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Partnership
#2 - Safety
#3 - "In this together"
Our Target Audience:
Seattle community at large. Seattle population is generally liberal and well-educated. Donors are both very high-income from the business community or mid-range income from the community. Crime is generally low in Seattle, and residents are very good about reporting crime, and working with the police to solve crime problems.
Color Preferences
Our current logo is dark blue, white and black in a shield shape with the cityscape inside. No color is off limits if it gets the point across, but Seattle Police Officers do wear blue, too much green or brown may be confused with King County Law Enforcement Colors. Some combination of "Police" and "Seattle". Elegance, refinement, seriousness and masculine over feminine, is important, but the logo should also be somewhat accessible and not "standoffish". Very traditional, or very minimalist modern would be interesting.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Those under "not interested" are too similar to our current logo. #10 is interesting but the happy star does not fit our brand, perhaps the city skyline inside the badge instead of on top instead of the star? #9 seems like a good start, but unfinished in concept. #3 would have problems with the stand-alone Space Needle, needs entire skyline for legal reasons.
