I thought a bead in the sea horse's tail would emphasize your jewelry. Any of these may be altered. If you want more details I can do that as well or less details. Color changes, font changes. Wasn't sure if you wanted more of scripts, san serif or serif fonts. I can also try an original handscript if you like.
Let me know I will be glad to do that for you. I looked at your facebook wall ....I really like your pieces...very very nice!!! I was trying to do the logo to not distract but compliment your pieces for your website and facebook. So colors will be important to compliment the entire page since you have so many colors. Thank you! Tere
I really like all of these, and could probably make a case for each of them. :) I am leaning towards script for Sea Pony and san serif or script for Studio. For colors I like both combinations you've done. Colors are flexible for me right now; I know they are easy to change. But here are my initial thoughts, and I will look again with fresh eyes in the morning.
#13 Really like this type. Would like to see it with the "S" included in the type instead of the seahorse. I like the idea of that, but I'm not sure it's a quick enough read. I also really like the seahorse with the swirls on #16, maybe see how that one works with this type.
#15 Can we try one of the other script typefaces with the seahorse in the middle like this
#21 Same comment here about the swirly seahorse. Maybe it will be too many swirls in the end, but I'd like to see. That one feels very unique, but still very obviously a seahorse.
#24 I would like to explore these simple seahorse shapes (either tail direction). Wondering what it would look like with more of a brush stroke feel to the lines? Something similar to the typeface they are paired with.
Oh, I forgot to comment on the original handscript. If you are up for it, I would love to see what you had in mind. It would be very cool to have something completely unique!
Hi I was checking in and possibly will be able to work on some updates later this evening or tomorrow morning since I will be out all day today for Easter.
Thank you! Outside of correcting #16 to Studio instead of Studios... ahat else would you like to see on this one?...different colors...warm colors...deeper colors, reverse on colors, more swirls? try and look at the logo as they are and the color selections together with your images on your site. It is important for the logo to stand out in all the wonderful color and still compliment and unify it all. That is why I chose the colors in #23, #24 and #25.
Anyway, let me know if there are any variations in font, color and layout on #16. Thank you again Sincerley, Tere
Sorry it took me so long to respond. It seems that I only get notifications for new logos and messages, not comments here. So I am just now seeing your posts from today.
Taking a look now. And thank you for working on these today. I realized I probably picked a bad weekend to start the contest...after I started it!
#37 I really love this type; it feels perfect. I also like the addition of the color to the end of the tail.
You might still be going through my list of feedback from last night, but I think I'd still like to see #13 with the actual S added. And either/both #39 and #40 with the gray type and a blue seahorse.
Also, no worries on getting through this entire list before this first phase of the contest ends—I love your work. I'm an art director and tend to focus on the design first, so apologies for not focusing enough on color yet. I envy designers like you who can turn out so many amazing logos; I find them so difficult! :)
So for colors... I think I am definitely leaning towards blue. I really like the blue and green in #37 too. A lot of my work is earth tones, but I feel like the blue/gray really fits with the seahorse theme. Which is funny, since I am not a nautical/beachy person at all! I just happen to be captivated by seahorses... Perhaps the blue might look good with a nice cool light brown to bring in the earthy feel.
Hi, finally able to sit down and concentrate on logos again. :)
One last request. Can you try using a seahorse with the bead on his tail (from #21 / #53 ) in the #37 treatment? Maybe give him a bit of the brush stroke effect like he currently is if the type feels too different? I had a friend really like the bead and I realized that one has kind of fallen to the bottom of the list. There are almost too many choices!
Good Morning! #81 #82 If I'm understanding you correctly here are the variations.
Your tag line I to keep it all unified and in balance where I placed it is really the only place it goes well. Also the difference in the bead....the seahorse tail on one overlaps with a little curl and the other doesn't But overlap with white in this style doesn't work well because of the thickness needed on the line. I also tried white on the curl and it competes too much with the highlight on the bead.
#114 Thought I would try an different approach with the same sea horse and bead Not sure what you would like.. Feel free to ask for what you want to see.. Thank you Tere
Thanks! #114 That was actually going to be the next thing I thought about. I am so torn between the free flowing and the really simple graphic approach. I didn't expect so many submissions, so it's actually a bit overwhelming. :)
Maybe take a short break...you have time...sometimes looking at too many without a break creates difficulty in seeing...refresh and breathe and come back...you'll see with new eyes :-)
#127 #128 #129 continuing with the effort... went back to the emblem of the mirrored seahorses...
I could see this for you as a stand alone emblem for a hang tag or box print...Could be outlined as opposed to solid background or any other colors including just a gray to represent silver
I added a little style and trendy flair to the tail Also if you wanted a little more raw feel there is a brush stroke that is a possibility
