would like a single colour (unsure) that would stand out with a solid black or white background. I would like it simple & uncluttered - perhaps with a letter formmark incorporating the initials smc

We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
I like the shadow/mirror effect of 19. I'm hoping that the emblem designs are reflective to weddings without having a cheesy look. I'd prefer something that has an elegant look rather than something that you may see on a car.
If the full SMC is hard to work with, perhaps try SM with creations as a secondary element. I also like how 40 has incorporated the initials & am looking for a more scriptive font.
Dear CH, if this is your first time using this site could you please spare a minute to read this post: http://logotournament.com/forum/general_discussion/914 even if you have used the site before i would definitely recommend reading it as it contains some important info that I'm sure you will find very helpful. thanks!
I'll try to give as much individual feedback as possible. I really don't want something that is way out and too bizarre in concept with emblems - our name is already challenging. Our aim is to have a culturally generic emblem that is modern with a degree of conservatism. I'm happy for you to play around with colourings etc and having SMC is not a must but a preference. I need to compare both with & without the smc to see how they look & feel for us.
I need to not only be able to see this logo on the web, but also on 8" high x 2" wide approx banners for bridal shows - it needs to be visible. More than likely the sizing on a banner would need to be approx 1"x1" or 40cmx50cm approx
Also, if you are creating an emblem that is different, I appreciate your thoughts behind them. I don't like wreath looking emblems, and am trying to avoid rings - we also may do other work apart from weddings but this is our primary field.
It's winter In melbourne & bitterly cold. I've noticed that we have been choosing the warmer tones & am wondering if perhaps a play with brighter colours may change the feel.
I will only be ranking once a day for the next few days.
I've chatted with my web designer who suggested that we take into account the font style legibility - so we shall do this in our considerations. Could I please ask you to consider this both in your choice of font & sizing?
