Our Ideas & Additional Information
The Saskatoon Berry Institute of North America is composed of farmers, processors and commercial consumers of the Saskatoon Berry, also called the Pacific Serviceberry, Alder-leaf Shadbush, Dwarf Shadbush, Prairie Berry, Western Juneberry, and June Berry. The species name is Amelanchier alnifolia.

These berries look similar to small blueberries, with a unique berry taste. They can be eaten raw or made into pies, muffins, jams, and a variety of other recipes.

The purpose of this organization is to research and promote issues pertaining to the growth, benefits, sales and use of Saskatoon Berries.

It would be serendipitous if the logo also served to create within consumers a sense of affection and excitement, such as California Raisins and California Cheese "Happy Cows".

We are looking for a logo that promotes the natural aspects of berry production, the delightful flavor, and the health aspects of Saskatoon Berries.

The tournament winner is likely to reflect the farmers and berries, rather than buildings, other institutional references or hard edged geometric shapes. The logo will contain the organization name and the graphic.

Hi Designers,

This is the correct contest.

Tyler what does that mean?

Nice start!

We like the berry color in (#1) for a ripe berry. The lettering in (#3) is preferred so far for readability. As another option, could we see that lettering in #3 in a burgundy color, like the center berry.

Can we see some options that put the word "Institute" on the same line as "Saskatoon Berry"?

Hi Scott -- the Client had started another contest under the same name, but used the wrong payment method.

The team is leaning toward the multiple berry logos, even though #1 is still our favorite. At least three colors seem to be essential.

Can we see #4 with a cluster of berries? Also on #4, can Institute be in the same line with Saskatoon Berry, or else go to three lines, with Institue by itself on line 2. That might provide room for a larger graphic too.

Some of the recent entries are likely to be ranked soon. The committee is reviewing them now.

What would it look like to have the name within the graphic, rather than under or around it?
