Like entry #1 orientation better than #2. We don't like the tie as the compass needle b/c it is too masculine and we don't want to alienate our female audience. What other treatment can you do for the compase needle? Hiking poles (trecking poles) as possible idea?
Can we also try "Salesforce" with the lowercase "f" and the same font that "Sales" is currently in.
Thanks for the comments. I'm trying to combine aspects of both a field guide (compass) and "sales", as this will create a more unique icon. There are a limited amount of things that relate to sales, and that is why I originally went with the tie. But, I have done a bit more research and come up with this design. If you know of anything that references (or makes you think about) sales, please let me know and I will try to use it in combination with the "field guide" aspect.
For this design, I've included a stock chart arrow (it can also be seen as mountain peaks) in place of the tie.
One last request... could we see #80 with the weighting (font size) swapped between "SALESFORCE.COM" and "FIELD GUIDE"... make "FIELD GUIDE" more prominent than "SALESFORCE.COM". This one is on the short list.
Sorry - one more thing... we are playing with an alternative title concept... could we see the text as "SALES MANAGER FIELD GUIDE" (your call on arrangement/font size).
Sometimes hard work pays off! Thanks for all the iterations. We would like to go ahead and declare you and #97 the winner. There is a possibility we may run into a trademark conflict with the text in #97, so I was hoping I could ask you to provide an alternate logo to #97 with just a swap-out of "SALES MANAGER" instead of "SALESFORCE.COM"... same sizing of fonts, in case we get in trouble.

Per the brief, we will need the following formats: High-res formats for print (include AI and JPG) Low-res formats for web (JPG, GIF or PNG) Transparent background preferred for web-version Would also like a black & white version without color. If you can put the logo graphic in a separate file to, in case we need that stand-along that would be terrific.
