Hope you like my new designs. I can work on a redraw of St. Joseph and the baby after new Year if you wish so. I will have more time them. By now i just work on elements disposition of the logo. Give me feedback please.
Like this much better - thank you. let's try it without the two horizontal lines on the top, and perhaps make the lighthouse image slightly larger. The light rays emanating from the lighthouse are too dominant right now - can you perhaps reduce the number of them?
Starting with entry #215, please enlarge the inner circle slightly, and change the 2 blue starbursts around the outside to some type of crosses. Thank you!
1. replace the cross in the boarder with a simpler, smaller cross or similar shape
2. add light blue circle inside the outmost blue circle
3. reduce the thickness of the inner circle match the thickness of the outer navy circle
4. move the center of the radiant screen to be the center of the light of the lighthouse
5. Use the original rocks at the base of the lighthouse from our supplied logo. We do not like the additional complexity and busyness of this design in the rock formation.
6. The lighthouse should take up 2/3's of the inner circle and the horizon under the rocks should take up 1/3 of the inner circle
Thank you for your hard work on this, and for submitting so many variations for us to consider.
Starting with design #250, please make the following adjustments and re-sumbit:
1) Make the entire inner circle image a little larger 2) Make the crosses on the outside one-color only, using the darker color (black or navy blue) 3) With the word COMMUNICATIONS, the letters are a little too spread out - make less white space between the letters please 4) For the outside border, make it one-color only (black or navy blue) with a thin inner ring of the lighter blue right up against it. That creates a kind of glow that we like. Thank you!
1) In the outer ring, replace the 2 crosses with small, solid dots so there is still something to separate the upper and lower text, but not competing for our attention
2) For the lighthouse-on-the-rock in the inner circle, move the whole thing down a little so there isn't as much rock showing, and shrink the lighthouse image about 15%.
3) Is it possible to make the letters in COMMUNICATIONS just slightly more bold?
Joao, Thank you for the new versions. Currently, we like 303 & 304 a lot. Could you re-work the lighthouse so the rays are like they were in the original lighthouse art file we submitted at the beginning of the contest? We like that look better. We also want to make sure there are no gradients in the file - doesn't look like there are in yours. Is that right?
Quick follow-up - looks like there is a gradient in your logos. Can you eliminate that? We don't want the plethora of problems that gradients cause in printing and otherwise. Thank you.
I´m back SJC. I was taking a ride with the girl. You´re welcome.
Yes my logo have a gradient, it´s a simple one. The printing with gradients depends the places you print. Nowadays from experience gradients are no longer a problem.
But is easy. And i don´t know what logo will you choose in the end: If you choose one of mines, i don´t have problems to give you one version without gradient for print and web. And another with the gradient for web only, and you can try to print also and see if is good or not.
I will work on some revisions based on your request and try to submit asap some variations.
Joao, Thank you for all the choices! As you can see, we've narrowed it down to just a few. We would like to see a few more variations of design # 385 as follows: Option 1) Keep the same center, and use the font from design # 340 Option 2) Replace the gradient blue background with a solid light blue background and use the font from design # 340 Option 3) Replace the gradient blue background with a solid medium blue background and use the font from design # 340 Also, the same 3 options above, but with a black cross instead of white. Thank you!
I´m at work right now. But i´m logged where also. It´s 16:17 pm here.
When i arrive home 20:00 pm i will start working on all your suggestions, and submit variations. I´ve some more ideias, and i will work them and submit them also.
Sometimes you may see the same in these: #441 | #445 but they aren´t the same. One is with a black cross #441 , and the other is a dark blue cross #445.
Font Font Goudy Bookletter 1911 and Font Goudy Old Style, are from the same family. They are different so i´ve used both.
I´ve worked on more proposals for your review. Any change please say SJC. Here is 2:00 am right now. Tomorrow i will be back again.
I´ve just reposted these for you to see with the cross on the "O" of Joseph. These are with 100% blue. 1. Based on #340 font: #524 2. Font Goudy Bookletter 1911: #525 3. Font Goudy Old Style: #526
I´ve done more proposals. If i have more ideias i will submit them. Here is 11:35 am. I will arrive from work at 20h00 pm. Anything please say.
We would like to see only one more design if you can.... Please start with design # 480 and make these changes 1. The circles are not in alignment, they are off center. We think you had to do this to accommodate the descending "J". To solve this could you please reduce slightly the size of the inner circle without reducing the white cross
2. take the cross from the "O" in Joseph from design #525 and put it in the "O" in Joseph in design #480
3. change the blue color inside the circle to be the same blue as the color in #478
Revision with the corrections: 100% blue | Cross on "O" | Circles centered And to make you secure of this i´ve made a grid only for circles alignement: Logo: #527 Grid: #528 (all align)
You´re right SJC. I´m sorry about the error. Logo:#480 Grid: #530
Do you need any more change in any design SJC? I will just stop until you see the logo is perfect.
Hi Joao, Could we please see: 1. logo 527 with the "COMMUNICATIONS" text from logo # 533 2. logo 527 with the "COMMUNICATIONS" text from logo # 533 with "COMMUNICATIONS" BOLD 3. logo 527 with the GRADUATED SCREEN from logo 532 (the center or focal of the screen at the center of the circles just as it is in #532.) 4. logo 527 with the GRADUATED SCREEN from logo 532 with the center or focal of the screen at the center of the intersection of the cross.
We appreciate all your hard work and designs. We would like to please have 2 versions of our final logo. Because we will be using our logo in a variety of sizes and applications we will be using #536 just as it is and we were also hoping to have a "dressed up" version which would include the gradient from #537. I'm assuming the final files will be in vector format. Are you working in Illustrator? Could we have the logo in a text format and also with the text converted into outline form. Once I have those files I can edit those files to create an all black logo and a reversed version of the same.
I see that you will pick my logo. First of all i want to thank you for all the great feedback you gave me and all the trust.
After the contest i will have acess to your e-mail information.
When you choose this one #536. By rules on LogoTournament i just can send you, the image in the pixel resolution of 1000x800 jpeg and the *.eps file. So 2 files are allowed to send in LT.
And you don´t need to worrie about anything more, i will do and send for your e-mail all the versions you may need in the future: - Black and White - Greyscalle - With coulour backgrounds - Logo RGB (for screen) - Logo CMYK (for print) - Pantone - fonts - Logo converted to curves - Logo with text an others.. I will explain further again all this by e-mail. I only work with Adobe Illustrator.
After you finishing the contest i will upload the final files. And will work and all the supports that you will receive in your e-mail ok.
I´m at work right now. But i´m logged here. Anything you need just say
Thank you so much for all your hard work. We are excited about a final logo. The files I downloaded were for a different logo. Could we please have the files for #543. #543 has the lightest spot of the gradient centered on the center of the circles and not on the intersection of the cross. Thanks again!!
