Sails and TrailsLogo Design Contest

We are a Christian family of four (dad, mom, 4 year old girl and 2 year old boy) from Texas planning on a one to two year RV adventure through the U.S. in 2017, prior to this we lived on a sailboat in the Bahamas.

We want a logo that will work well in black and white or grey tones. But we're open to it working in earthy tones such as hunter green or navy/dark blue.

Our website is www.sailsandtrails.us and we want a logo for Sails and Trails. The logo should not feature the URL specifically.

Prior to the RV adventure and having kids, we moved aboard our sailboat to explore the Bahamas, northern Caribbean and U.S. East Coast for a year (www.svkaleo.com), hence the sails part of Sails and Trails.

We're looking for simple, clean logo like the examples attached.

We’re curious what it might look like to play off sloping tree / sloping sail design to represent sailing and "trailing"? (see attached Huckberry image for tree sloping element thought)

Interested in exploring the use of two arrows within design: preferred aimed horizontally and each one a little different in back/tail style (see attached images for examples).

I’ve also included pictures of the RV that the logo will go on, several other logo styles that we like and the motorhome’s logo "Expedition" that this logo will be near.

And we like the compass part of the Expedition logo.

Given all this direction perhaps one version should feature the arrows and another can be focused on the the compass and others from your perspective based on what we’ve told you.

All that said, you’re the designer so we’re looking for your expertise in the options.
