Hi ! Here is my idea for your logo. I've used icons to represent your specialties. Any modifications or variations, please don´t hesitate on contact me! Thanks! :)
I'd like to see the bottom symbol as a fall protection one if possible.
I know you are coming into this late, but I like what you are doing. This logo needs to be representative of a professional organization such as a Fire Department specialty division, as a badge on coveralls/uniforms, business cards, letter heads, etc... also for promotional items like hats and t-shirts that guys will really want to wear.
I think possibly our full name more prominent somehow and maybe with a small Canada flag (over inc. perhaps)?
Bob, sorry for being late for your contest. I will try to absorb all of the infos and modifications that you are asking me, and make several versions for you to see before the contest ends.
Thank you for the very nice and helpful feedback. Samuel
Bob, all arms are of the same size, they are copy of each other. I will try a different red and a shield around the cross and also flatter a little the arms of the cross, I think this can fit very nice in a business card, but the card layout need to be adjusted to receive a badge type logo. It´s normal, a badge always have more elements than a normal logo and this is what make his own style.
Coming up with modifications soon! Thanks for your feedback Bob!
Hi Bob ! How are you? I have here just one more version of the shield. Can you put me in first place only for a couple of hours to upload this version? (In Judging mode only the ranked 1 designer can upload another entries). If this is not possible, there is no problem! :) Thank you very much for your attention Bob!
Hi Bob ! I made three more shields for you to see. If you put me in first place only for a couple of hours (don´t need to maintain me there) i can upload it for you. Thanks!
Sorry I didn't realize you had messaged, maybe try the private message, I think I get a notification then?
Definitely down to you and the one other designer, we want to make the right decision.
I changed the ranking, like to see what else you have. Something is still not quite right with the cross? We are looking at with and without the shield.
One thing, in our name, the words "Technical" & "Rescue" cannot be split up.
With the figures in the circle, what would it look like with the top one removed? Would the other three be more visible?
Had 2 other ideas that nobody else had shown: 1. with the cross in place of the maple leaf of the Canadian flag (if that makes sense) 2. For the "shield" shape to be a maple leaf?
Hi Bob! Thank you! Im having connection issues with the internet, but i will come sooner with the modifications i already made and with that you are asking me to do now. I will be back in about a hour.
Bob ! I uploaded #95, #96, #97, #98. This are the ones I had already done. Now i´m just working and finishing the new ones with the ideas of your last comment! I´m coming with them soon.
Thanks! Samuel
PS: About the private message, i can only send it to you if you send me first, it´s a rule of logotournament.
I spoke to a graphics company about the feasibility of getting these done on the different mediums.
I like the light effects, and they will go well on printed material (business cards, letterheads, etc...) but will be more difficult and/or costly for the vehicle and embroidery.
I'd like to separate out our full name from the badge/crest, so it can be larger, more easily read, and put in different locations (ie badge on shoulder, full name on back)
Can the maple leaf be trimmed in red?
Also the maltese cross arms flatter, might also make more room for the lettering?
I´m doing that changes now, i´ll upload soon! About the lightning, i can provide you all versions you need: Lightning, no-lightning, black and white, etc.
Could we see some different variations on the maple leaf? Something "cool, modern" maybe?
try removing the maple leaf from the centre and splitting the figures into thirds.
Also the something like: S.T.R.A.C. Safety & Technical Rescue Academy Canada inc. (can't do different sizes or fonts here) STRAC larger with name underneath, the whole thing under the crest, in a way the 2 parts could be separated if need be- like crest on shoulder & STRAC w/full name on back? Does that make sense?
I've been away for a few days, that's why we got it extended- my apologies.
With the shield designs, could we - make the border/outline narrower, - reverse the colors on 116&119 - 113 cross larger - the STRAC and full name still separated below, but the full name fitting in the same width as S.T.R.A.C...?
Don't apologize for you're English, you're doing great! I am the one that needs to apologize...
My partner is back in contact (finally), and we had a (rather heated) discussion on the design tonight.
I like the color options you showed with the last designs (Maple leaf inside shield), particularly the carbon fibre look (would it be possible to have the cross like that too?), but are still debating the colors. Is it possible to get the file with all those color combinations?
We are not going to go with the maple leaf in the shield, rather just the cross in the shield, with a few alterations:
1. remove the"Y"from the circle (too much peace sign feedback) 2. have the words "rescue" and "safety" in the cross curve around the circle like the "strac" and "canada" do 3. elongate the shield, so it is longer than it is wide, more like a Knights Templar shield (I'll try to e-mail you some examples off the net) 4. place a Canadian Flag in the bottom of the shield, under the cross 5. remove the flag after "inc"
That...will be it! We came to an agreement on those changes, so we should finally be done.
Bob, here are: #134, #135, #136, #137 - color schemes #138, #140 - silvers #139 - carbon fiber
After you choose one version and declare it as winner, logotournament will let me send the vector files to you. The other files (light and no-light, another color schemes) i will sent to you by mail.
Great Bob, i´m preparing the files ! Do you have a preference for a vector format ? Illustrator, EPS ? Or a image format like JPG, PNG (transparent background).
