Discussion

We'd like an artistic translation of the logo concept we already have - human hands, slightly open with a bird flying out of the hands and a heartstring in its mouth (heart dangling below). Very common image, but we want a humanized version that can be easily transferred to business cards, tshirts, banners - everything pretty much. Not looking for a radical departure from this, just enhanced version.

Logo Designer
Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

#4 Really like the changes to the wings. They appear to be flowing, which is nice. Also the refinement of the hands is more appealing, although would still prefer a bit more detail to appear more human. The goal is to convey a sense of a 'real-world' ministry that will serve 'everyday' people, so the appearance of the hands are important to the message we want to convey.

#5 The boldness of the outer circle is appealing because it is reminiscent of a crest or seal. Also really like how you have the dots between the 'Sacred Praise' and the 'UMC', because it draws distinction between the two. The detail on the hands are good and we like that they look human and the fingers are distinguishable - but their position isn't quite what we'd hoped. The hands should be somewhat curved (more "cupped" really), as in perhaps a position that could almost imply prayer or worship, with fingers close together and pointed upward. The hands also appear a bit thin, more weight is desired. The hands should be unisex and convey strength, so the appearance of weight in the hands are important.

#4 It would also be nice if the words were a bit larger and bolder - the smaller text makes it a bit hard to read. Really want the name to stand out and be prominent.

#5 Really like the boldness of the design! Especially the outer circle color and how prominent the words are - easy to read. Would like to experiment with oval vs circle shape if possible with more 'cupping' of the hands; also heart and string should be raised above hands.

#6 we really like how the top text is larger than the bottom text, and that the tagline is incorporated into the design - the tagline is really hard to read and so if the bottom text.
