We don't love the paint roller/brush idea as it is so overdone in our industry. That said, it does make the industry identifiable immediately when seeing the sign. We are looking for more professional, doing more commerical jobs now and leaving behind our current logo which is a house and paint brush. I should have asked for more sophisticated and professional ideas. I want something clean and fresh, but not so simple that it is just the company name in a font setting.
