The basic look of the design on the left is great, but maybe using Serbian colours and giving greater prominence to the eagle - a definite Serbian feature - while retaining the basic structure of our logo, is the way forward. Also, please note previous comments about text font and adding SERBIA 2018. 6 years ago danny_kazandjian commented on #13 Withdrawn Lin, see comments I made previously re colours. I think the ball design needs to be bigger. Maybe the eagle and features from the Serbian flag can be bigger than the ball design, which, with our stars, can be in the background? I like your design but it feels as though the stars are too big in relation to the eagle, which is a definite Serbian feature and so should remain and worked on. Check out the Serbian flag and see how you can stylize elements of that flag into the ball design. Again, the Serbian parts don't necessarily need to be contained within the interior of the ball, they could be superimposed on top of it - just an idea, but that gives you more room to work. 6 years ago danny_kazandjian commented on #14 Withdrawn This is on the right track, Lin. The eagle is recognisable in shape as the Serbian one but to be respectful to their flag I think we should think about incorporating some of their colours in the ball design shape. Perhaps remove the stars and re-incorporate them around the circumference as that would retain the basic overall feel of our original logo. Can you try to make the text closer to the font used in our original guide logo, and please add SERBIA 2018 to the logo. Good progress ! 6 years ago danny_kazandjian commented on #16 Withdrawn Thanks Lin. I think it's important for the double-headed eagle to be recognisable as a symbol of Serbia, so would refer you to their national flag for design features. Also, please try to retain the overall integrity of our logo. Perhaps incorporating the colours of Serbia in some way might help make the logo more Serbian in look and feel? 6 years ago lin commented on #13 Withdrawn Hi Danny. look #12 #13 #14 #16 . I try to add stars and double-headed eagle. 6 years ago lin commented on #13 Withdrawn Hi Danny. look #12 #13 #14 . I try to add stars and double-headed eagle. thanks 6 years ago danny_kazandjian commented on #9 Withdrawn I prefer this one to #8 Lin, as you've retained the basic shape of our logo. Perhaps retaining the dynamic star pattern (a European symbol) in some way would align it even more closely to ours (you don't have to copy ours, but the winning logo needs to be emblematic of ours somehow). See my previous comment about the writing, but I forgot to add it should say SERBIA 2018 somewhere. 6 years ago danny_kazandjian commented on #8 Withdrawn Lin, thanks very much for your designs. They are very attractive. Here are my comments on this one: The text should read RUGBY LEAGUE UNDER-19 (OR U19) EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP; our slogan is not important for this logo, so please remove it. The most important thing is to retain some link with our logo that I posted, so your logo is someway recognisable to that logo. Secondly, the winning logo will capture the essence of Serbia. You have included the colours well but perhaps instead of the outline of the country, use the double-headed Eagle or their cross or something iconic from their culture. Finally, I would like to stay away from shield designs as they're moire closely associated with clubs. 6 years ago
