We like the idea of the gear or something related to the high tech end of our industry like #7 & #8. Nice color use in #9. We would like something besides the gear if we can. I know that might be difficult but would like to see someone try. I like the predominate ROSSI. Would like to see some change in fonts.

We are looking for something that suggests that we are CNC machine tool maintenance/repair that provides service and products in the high tech CNC world that exists today. We want to convey that we are part of the new world of manufacturing: CNC Five Axes Machines and the products that serve them.

I wonder if there was a use of a swirl instead of a gear?

I have seen logos where the artists use the company's name where the letters are intertwined somehow?

Keep playing with the R and some sort of shape that shows strength and perhaps metal?

We do like the logo look of #47 however, we are not sold on that design. We are looking for a slick very cool but easy to read font with something that shows that we are CNC machine technicians, that we are moving with the new manufacturing machine tools, that we sometimes don't even turn a wrench....or gear..and use high tech diagnostic tools ...something fresh, very usable on everything.

Dear Artists:

I am writing to notify everybody that we have extended the OPEN PHASE of our contest for another 24 hours. This is our fault -- I feel like we didn't give the input you needed to design what we were looking for. So we are clarifying our expectations and extending it. We hope many of you will consider submitting new concepts.

Thoughts to consider:

- Please AVOID things like wrenches, gears & cogs. These are a little cliche, and they refer to old-school machinery, not the high-tech machinery we work with.

- Originally, we asked for red, white and blue. HOWEVER, we really are liking the red, white and black/gray color schemes. So please send more with red white & black.

- Design #47 is ranked in first place because we like the gradients, the font and the color scheme. We like that it avoids the cliche machinery images, and we like that it has a metallic feel.

- We would also like new designs that use the RMS abbreviation in an abstract way.

- Our tagline "moving manufacturing into the future" may also inspire new creative ideas.

We like the RMS or the R in front of the Rossi Machinery Services. We like the Moving Manufacturing into the Future. The fonts in #101, #102, & #104 seem to draw our eye to them. We like the use of the new colors and particularly like the Rossi in red. We were wondering if it is possible to place a sign wave on the logo as that is what the CNC technicians look at when making diagnositics.

We are now in the final stage of the contest. We are impressed and delighted by the artistic takes on Rossi Machinery Services and the shortened RMS. Everyone has brought their creative view and translated it to logos that are all interesting to us! We are now working on the hardest part~ making our pick. We will keep you updated and thank everyone who is working with us! RMS

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the contest. We had a very hard logo to develop and have waited a long time for a good one. We realize that we held strong on what we did and did not like, however, in the end we received a dynamic, interesting and usable logo. We would like to thank all the artists who worked so hard for us; again we were pretty selective on what we liked and didn't. Everyone worked so hard to find that "right" logo and we thank everyone!
